Hey everyone,

Last year I ran a short-lived, but high converting, campaign on MyAds that rocked it! This is an idea that can easily be duplicated again with various other similar offers that i've seen out right now.

I caught on the the massive "Twilight" movie trend and following. Saw a campaign in Convert2Media for "Free Twilight Movie Tickets" (email submit) and ran with it.

The campaign was short lived (about 1 month) - b/c after the movie was released the hype was gone (hence CTRs and traffic decreasing). But, I did smash this campaign and win a free ipad from Convert2Media, so i'm happy =)

1) -- targeting I used:



2) -- Split testing between Leaders and Recs: (just a few i used)

CTR = .04%



CTR = .13%



CTR= .41%



CTR = .21%




This campaign was direct linked straight to the offer. Obviously the Recs got a far better CTR and I only ended up paying around .14 cents per click. The offer converted around 30-40% in general. I can't find a screeny b/c I ran this right before C2M switched to CAKE platform =(

This was a pretty simple setup. I spent the most time on creatives (photoshop) and as you can see the smallest difference made the biggest difference in CTR (notice the leader images).

I also ran this campaign on Facebook and killed it as well! (slipped it through)

I keep wondering when new movies/games are released, why people aren't killing it with the email submits that are out there. You could take this idea and find high traffic fan sites for other movies/games as well. Why not make $xx,xxx real quick and move on to the next one each time there is new hype?

I think the issue a lot more people don't do this is cause they fear of getting banned on FB for pushing offers like that. Just my 2 cents

Right - but I did this on myspace and still smashed it.

Also, FB isn't the only other traffic source this type of campaign will work on (ppv)

badass. that campaign is about as easy as it gets. trends for the mothafucking win.

I think I've made 99% of my affiliate monies because of trends.

Awesome, I've done many similar campaigns! I bank from trends, it's when CTR is at it's highest

MyAds works, just not for these types of offers.
The key is re-duplicating campaigns over and over =). Shhh.

How do you combat the scrub bro??

I've banked from email submits on trends, but the offers are usually unique and for me tank in a few days lol

How do you keep it consistent?

i think the biggest prob is, a lot of trends get missed with direct links because a lot of networks are "late to the party" and dont get offers for certain trends until way late.

I'm really late replying to this - sorry.

I usually run traffic to an email submit .... let the adv. analyze quality. Then I get approved for a low scrub rate. You really just gott'a watch the quality of the leads and you can usually keep scrub down if your working with a legit network/adv.
