Hi Incrowder, could you give us some information about keymarkets / previous days volumes etc. ?

01-14-2013 09:51 PM #3 deondup (Member)

Is this a DSP?

Where's the traffic from?

How much traffic and where?

01-14-2013 09:55 PM #4 incrowder (Member)

@fjk87

We do about 550k daily in the us
Largest markets are:
US
CA
UK
AU
DE
MX

I don't have the numbers for the other right now but I'll be sure to get those for you later today. Let me know if there is anything more specifically you want to know.

Yes we are a dsp. we are tied into all of the major exchanges. We see just about 8billion impressions per month.

Where we are different from other dsps is that we give you really detailed reports on your campaign performance in realtime. You can literally see your impressions/clicks/conversions/spend tick up live. it makes a huge difference as you test campaigns.

Which exchanges are you integrated with?

you guys have tokens/parameters to report back to our own trackers & if so, please list them all.

01-16-2013 08:18 PM #9 avalanche (Member)

& what's your refund policy - I have no problem dropping $500, but I have a few dialed-in campaigns to test. If they're not backing out... you know the drill.

Of course. We pass the following tokens: bidhash, carrier, os, os_version, device, media, country, ip, app, site, ua, category, subcategory.

Although most of our users don't use them because we allow live reports which allows you to blacklist anything that isn't performing for you in realtime.

We're happy to refund your money if things aren't working of course we'll refund your money. Only thing is there's a 15% refund fee.

Also happy to walk you through setting up your campaign and optimization tips so that you can get the most out of the platform.

Can your DSP track multiple post-click events through S2S, using bidhash as trigger - in order to optimize CPA, CPS etc.?

We don't track that yet. But we are very responsive to adding features that our most active customers request.

01-17-2013 03:22 PM #16 cupid (Member)

Thanks for fast reply, but how can you track conversions other than that? (You've mentioned that you can see impressions/clicks/conversions/spend in reporting

We do have a pixel that you can place that will trigger only once for a unique impression. You would decide whether it's triggered on the lead or the sale event. Our interface will show you the CPA.

Just to be clear - We have run traffic through Yeahmobi in the past. We ran affiliate campaigns before we launched, but no longer run any affiliate campaigns internally.

any ecpc or ctr report on this network? How is the quality on adver ROI?

10-11-2013 03:16 PM #23 Andrea Decisive (Member)

@Skoby Thanks for the Question.

InCrowd Ads provides click rates, conversions, CPM, CPC, CPA for each Ad and also a break down of each win and its stats based on targeting.

We even break it down by Carrier, OS, Site, App, Location, and Daypart.

Attached is an example of the interface and the options for targeting and optimizing your campaigns.

I was using their Smart CPM, launched 10-15 campaigns, and wasn't even close to profit.

The smart CPM takes a bit of time to learn your campaign. It learns faster if you blacklist the sites that are under performing. Were you tracking conversions on it? Drop me a DM with your username, and we're happy to take a look at it for you.

Okay cool.

Would suggest starting with CPM or CPC ?

10-16-2013 09:17 PM #33 Andrea Decisive (Member)

@bbrock32

We suggest smart CPM, but if you prefer more control over your campaigns you can use the standard CPM.

With CPC the volume you receive is determined by the CTR of your creative.

10-16-2013 09:41 PM #34 deondup (Member)

bump my question...

Which exchanges are you integrated with?

10-16-2013 10:15 PM #35 Andrea Decisive (Member)

We are tied into all the major exchanges. Some of the exchanges require additional approval based on the type of campaign. Which are you looking for?

10-16-2013 11:55 PM #36 deondup (Member)

@ Andrea

I want to know if you have any traffic I can't already get on other DSP's

Mopub, Mobclix, Smaato, Nexage, OpenX - any other than these?

10-17-2013 12:10 PM #37 David Decisive ()

@deondup - Most DSPs won't have unique traffic. Our goal is to give you the best tools to buy traffic across the exchanges. From our campaign planner, to smartCPM, and realtime reports - we want to help you more easily find the traffic that's working for you, and block the traffic that isn't.

10-17-2013 01:45 PM #38 Mr Green (Administrator)

Their Smart CPM feature you can't just switch on and expect to make your campaign profit instantly.

It seems to basically work out what to bid for each targeting option based on your conversion data. It will run you through RON traffic, so you gotta let it run through the fat before you start seeing your CPA drop.

I guess you are right.
I should have stick to 1-2 campaigns instead of spreading $500 to 10-15 campaigns. I thought that if I launch more campaigns, i would
hit one winner or close to win.

10-17-2013 06:02 PM #40 bbrock32 (Administrator)

@David

Can you explain how the Smart CPM works out exactly?

It overbids by a certain % the top bid if it's under the max cpm you set?

Also does it take into account the eCPA a placement is getting?

Thanks

10-17-2013 10:56 PM #41 David Decisive ()

@bbrock32 you can think Smart CPM as cruise control on a car. You still have to guide it, but it can do most of the work for you. Basically it helps you save a lot of your wasted spend by bidding higher on the placements that are working best, and lower on the stuff that isn't working.

But the SmartCPM works in 3 phases:

Phase 1 - Explore
Your campaign either performance data from a campaign you've already run, or average historic performance across the platform to take a guess at what the average CTR and CVR should be. It makes a bid based on what it estimates it needs to bid to meet your target CPA.

In this phase you can help your campaign learn by blacklisting any attribute ie carrier, sites, apps, os versions that aren't performing.

If you aren't getting much traffic I usually suggest you pick a target CPA that is about 2x-3x what your actual payout is to get some data about your campaign.

Phase 2 - Optimize
Once the campaign starts to get clicks and conversions it will start optimization based on the initial CPA it sees for each placement. So if its under the estimate it will start bidding higher. If its over the estimate it will start bidding lower.

Smart CPM will begin to rely less on its initial guess and rely more on the campaign performance data it has seen. This process happens hourly based on the previous hours data. Usually it takes a full day for meaningful optimizations to happen.

Phase 3 - Settling
The campaign relies fully on its own data. It will only use what it sees CTR and CPA, and focus on the apps/sites that is seeing performing.

Over time you'll see CPA drop, then rise a bit as the campaign explores the long tail of inventory, then drop again as it gets enough data from smaller sites and apps to either rule them out, or keep them.

You can help your ads optimize faster by blacklisting things that aren't working, and reducing your target CPA once you have enough conversions (I'd say 100 or so).

Let me know if this helps. Or hit my up by skype if you want to do a one on one walkthrough.
