Where to Start?? (6)
Hi all,
I'm up to about my 40th losing campaign in a row. Obviously I suck at this!! Or I'm about to break it big time.
Either way, I'm looking for some starting advice on this forum. I've been banned from adwords. I've spent the last 12 months giving facebook a workout, but am finding it harder and harder to get a good CTR. I've run some small test campaigns on ppv (lead impact), bing, pulse360 and buysellads.
I've stuck to gaming and dating on facebook because this is what my previous coaches taught me would work best. I prefer dating because I understand the niche better, but I've also got a good grounding in rebills (beauty, diet,) credit, insurance, auto and self help niches.
Here are my questions:
1) Is it still possible to get profitable campaigns in facebook with small test budgets (under $100 per day)?
2) What is the best platform you suggest to start with? ie POF, facebook, PPV etc
3) I've had a look around and it seems like there are a hell of a lot of threads here. I found some have great info, but it's from back in 2011. What posts should I be looking at to start? I've signed up for the 40 day start guide, but that is trickling into my email and I'm looking to get going now

You seem like you've been around town and may be passed the 40 day guide.
If you've never hit a good profitable campaign, you want to start on a platform that is easier, but may not technically hold the riches. None the less a source where you can still make some bank.
POF is quite overcrowded ATM, PPV is similar and doesn't have room for growth.
I would recommenced Adult, Facebook or Mobile.
You've already ran around Facebook for a bit, in my opinion its easiest to get something profitable (maybe not for a long time, but to get something going with some profit)
Mobile takes a lot of learning
Adult is easier to get your foot in, but its not "easy" by any means.
Spend 2 weeks on Exoclick and see what you can do.
Adult, i would reccomend its not hard but its not easy as well just as stackman said, adult popunders are quite good depending on the offer and for adult try to go international into non english speaking countries, dont be afraid to use fiverr to get ur copy translated.

Totally agree with spamalot, pop under is pretty good as a start off

Maybe check out something by scott rewick....he has a HUGE media buying university type program thats very good and complete....
