Hi Everybody,
I have a campaign that looks promising for the older female demo (dating). Am using a lander. The lander CTR is 35% and 25% of those that click through convert. This gives me an EPC about $1.25 at the network end. However, I need to substantially reduce my ad costs (currently costing about 80 cents per click!) to get this profitable. I need to get it down to under 50 cents per click. Is this possible with the older female demo? Any tips on images or general ads/targeting for this demo? My ad CTR sucks - 0.04 to 0.07%!
As always it's the ads CTR that I'm struggling with! Grrrrr....
Cheers,
Andy
Everything is possible with a higher CTR. This is where your main focus should be. Test more ads to find images that give you better CTR.
You can start by reading this awesome thread: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-Your-CTR-amp-)
Don't give up too fast and you'll be fine
nice EPCs...
what country you targeting bro?
Same problem here, Andy. My CTR's and EPC are in the same ballpark. I've been trying to push them above that range without much success. I'm glad to see it's not just me!
My next step is to do day parting with that campaign this week. My EPC has been consistently higher at night.
Hopefully someone will toss out a gem to help get the chicks clickin..
New, amateurish looking images with bright colors. Use unusual/weird images for your angle, not that everyone is using, they are bored with that. After initial tests, optimize - get top images and tweak them or find other images closely related to them.
Which country are you targeting?
Thanks for the input everybody. I'm targeting the US!
However, it's my lander and angle that's creating the high EPCs. It's not been easy - lots of epic failures up to this point!
Cheers,
Andy
But only a good CTR on the ads will eventually bring down you CPCs. How large is your daily budget and the audience reach? Are you targeting broad or in smaller increments? Are you using a specific angle? What's the actual offer you are promoting?
Hi,
At the moment I've paused the campaign whilst I work out what the next step is to increase the CTR. I'm kind of using an angle but I have some good ideas on how to combine this angle with another angle to increase the CTR. Will keep you posted.
Cheers,
Andy
Will let you know I started a new campaign for females in the US from 40-50 with specific interests and a audience of about 365k today.
I'm getting about 0.50 CPC in Canada for females 30-40. CTR is around 0.1%
