Although it is not mentioned to setup SSL, do you think it would be wise to?
Also do you think it would cut out the hassle of having to change domains so often? because thats what i was thinking, why not just install an SSL for the whole tracking site on your server?
I don't think SSL as such will really protect you. The chance of someone sniffing your data is pretty damn slim. That being said it doesn't hurt and several networks require HTTPS pixels now. You can get a free cert at StartSSL. I've used them for more than a year strictly for the HTTPS pixels. They are fine for something like that.
Changing domains are good to prevent the copycats. Having a SSL won't help you with that.
