Hey guys, I want to share my starting success with you.
My experience is a totally failed "Farmville" campaign 2 years ago, then a dating offer which didn't turn into a profit after $15. That's about it...
I'm direct linking a FB app offer, and I've created 4 campaigns 3 days ago.
After 3 days of testing (starting budget $10, then increasing to $20, then today $30), I've spent $71 for $145 in affiliate commissions! Slightly above 100% ROI
All the impressions/conversions are whored by 2 ads, though, so I guess it won't be sustainable in time (esp. because my demo is only 25k).
Thanks to Arthur from A4D for getting me started with a good offer!
But this success opens more questions than answers
Good job! Another dating offer I assume?
time to bring it to larger a demo.
hey that's great. congratulations.
thanks guys!
Congrats!
It's funny how much we will spend on lotto tickets and not consider that money as a loss, a loss that stops us from continuing to buy yet more lotto tickets.
Yet lose 20 bucks on on a first campaign and peeps give up.
We learn nothing from the lotto tickets but we can learn a great deal from failed campaigns.
good comparison there!
Last time I bought lottery tickets was like 15 years ago.
People also dump 50-100k for an education (college etc), and then work 20 years at McDonalds to repay it because they didn't find anything better.
The saddest part in this is all the new students know that, yet they still go to college and hope for the best.
But who are we to say what they should or shouldn't do? Someone's going to "provide them this opportunity" (=take advantage), and I'd rather help them realize what they think is best for them & get an affiliate commission on it...
Way to go, man! Keep it up...
Keep up the good work dude! Just make sure you don't get lazy, always test new ad creatives to keep the campaign going, and when you have the cash flow, scale it like a boss!
@sandy thats a pretty boss comparison/theory. Its so true
Congrats @refresh! This is just the start
Thanks for your feedback guys.
I've been in positive these last days, although it has peaked on the 3-4-5th days, then definitely tanked to about ~20% ROI since a week. 13 days and counting, one -3% ROI (bids were too high).
With the profits, I've recouped my 2 months here + my subscription to SocialAdNinja, and some budget for testing new campaigns. Great!
Putting a green frame around my images doubled the CTR (but not the CR unfortunately! But I could at least decrease my bids)
That's awesome man and very motivating especially for a newbie like me.
Thanks for your post. I just joined this site today and don't really have a lot to spend. It's nice to see that you can make small investments and still make gains. That is what i am looking to do and grow from there.
Just the start my friend, big congratz on the jump!
Still holding up strong?
