Hey Ninjas,
We're aggressively marketing a US diet straight sale product on FB utilizing celeb images with the celeb name in the headline/body copy. This has resulted in our accounts getting blitzed after a fairly decent time running.
We conduct a deep competitor research, and noticed those with celeb images are surviving and staying alive with one caveat: they do not use the celeb name anywhere in the copy.
It's obvious we should try the latter, but I wanted to reach out and see what sort of tips you guys could provide on staying alive with the celeb angle.
Thanks in advance!
I've used celeb images in the past
Some tactics i used
- no names
- pictures that aren't 100% obvious who the celeb is (so reviewers don't notice right away)
- pictures that won't bring up complaints (for example, nothing to controversial)
- the celeb beside a non-celeb in the picture
Also depends on what you're promoting and how aggressive the reach and offer is
:O:O
^ damn nice
I had a celeb about a year or so ago, advise his fans on his fanpage's not to click my ad and that it was not endorsed by him. I took a screenshot of it as a trophy, but never ran that campaign again lol.

Don't use the names.
Someone has been running diet ads with the face of ex-tennis player Kim Clijsters in the ad. If the campaign is still active, I suggest you stop it, because it's getting media attention in Belgium and her management is looking into it.
