Going to experiment w/ some pua campaigns and I usually end up leaning heavily on my autoresponders since it gives me a couple extra shots at getting the angle right.
I've never marketed PUA stuff before and was a bit concerned about running that type of list in one of my regular autoresponder accounts. Not sure what providers like aweber, etc think of those types of campaigns. I'm going to keep the language as clean as I can, but it could probably still get a little racy for their tastes.
Anyone know from experience (I'll even take anecdotal at this point) whether my concerns are justified? Figured I'd ask here before I throw an account into a "trial by fire" experiment.
And if so, can anyone point me in the direction for a good autoresponder service to run these through?
Aweber will be fine and has the best deliverability out of all of them now, iContact slightly behind and then GetResponse.
If you want to play it safe (or go more aggressive and make more money) then you can create a script where through the one opt-in they're put in to all of the above at once.
Importing lists in the future is a nightmare so I always do this.
sorry dude... you're SO off with that. aweber has average deliverability, icontact is horrible and known to shut your accounts down for no reason.
do NOT run any pua/sex stuff on aweber.
they'e shutting down accounts like mad from ppl mailing that type of stuff.
my friends run tao of badass, they got shut down.
2gts got shut down.
and some others as well.
they're super dicks about it to.
but what do I know? i'm just IN the niche.
Woah didn't know Aweber been such a dick lately..
Well avalanche if you wanna get into that niche i'm assuming you already subscribed to a few big boys in the industry (--> dconstukt). Just find out what are they using.
but what do I know too? i'm just IN-IN the niche. (doing pick ups, not marketing pick ups). LOL.
ya... they are tightening down.
i use a very expensive solution. lyris. wouldn't suggest it to anyone cuz you need a phd from nasa in astrophysics to use the damn thing and set shit up with it.
Lyris interface is a nightmare... I've been getting good results w/ SendGrid & a mailer of CodeCanyon lately but you can't be spamming like fuck with it or your IP will just go down the drain. If your complaints are low enough and you're not doing insane volume you CAN get away with Aweber (for how long, that depends...) and if you're splitting leads to multiple accounts like I mentioned you may as well use them until you potentially get banned (I've been banned twice but still think the deliverability is best and always open up another account and start copying leads to them again -- accounts can last up to a yr though) - obviously Tao of Badass is doing huge volume and will be much higher on the radar, but still if you're copying/splitting leads between accounts there's no risk, as if AW gets shut down then you can just switch to GR instantly, if that shuts down switch to next one, etc. You could be sending the leads to 5/6 AR's at once if you wanted to. Depends on your budget and volume though.
