Background
I had good success running on facebook when everybody was running Acai and the barriers were a lot lower than they were today. It didn't last of course and I completed my education and took a good corporate job but always with the intention to return to affiliate marketing.
I know that facebook is quality traffic and that if you can jump like Crash Bandicoot from account to account the rewards of running rebills is enormous.
I have recently been trying to run skincare. I managed to test a little and found some reasonably high ctr ads which I was confident could perform if the offers were converting. I don't think that they were winners however. I was linking to an advertorial style lander with my own copy.
I do not have a cloaker and lost my account immediately. I had been manually submitting 100's of ads every day and it took 2 weeks to get the high ctr images through. That was a large amount of effort to test a few adverts on facebook, with no profit, no new skills and a minimal gain in useful data.
I have since created a new account and was using a bulk uploader to throw a ton of skincare ads at them and see if anything got through. I received over 100 emails telling me that the ads were home free. I tried to log into the account and was told that it was temporarily locked. I submitted my id but after two days I haven't heard anything back.
My mistake I think was using a credit card I had used for a previous account. This account wasn't banned but every time I tried to clear the balance on the account I was told 'please try again later'. After sending an email and receiving no reply I moved on and started another account.
The truth is I understand that if and when I can run profitable ads, my account will be shot down within a fortnight at best. I need a cloaker to run. I have seen that polarbacon has had his recommended constantly- is there any etiquette to follow in this regard?
I have spent a large amount of energy trying to work with a company that naturally does not want to do business with me. This time could have been used to better myself in other areas. However my intention was to spin up enough cash through rebills which could be used to invest in the testing of legit offers with smaller margins. I'm not sure how much legs rebills still have so there is a sense of urgency to capitalise.
I did try to run my skincare ads on POF very briefly but had a rather poor CTR with no conversions and it ended up more expensive per click that my experience with CPC.
I understand that marketing rebills is not a sustainable business model and I want, above all else, to be a successful affiliate marketer. I am a good writer and feel that I am well able to can understand and appeal to consumer's emotions.
Questions
1. Can anyone recommend a cloaker which I am likely to be able to run with soon? I have heard of cloakers from suspiciously low to restrictively high so any information on price would be great.
2. Running multiple accounts. I have two bank accounts and ad accounts and both of these are dead to me. Should I avoid using the same bank card for another account? Do I need to apply for every bank account that I can in the U.K or is their a simpler way?
3. Is there an entirely objective way to find out which offers are really converting? Thus far I have only been able to take the word of affiliate managers who will of course recommend their own. Is there a way to compare which offers across different networks is really performing in a particular niche?
4. Often I find offers being plied which I cannot find on offervault or odigger. Are these affiliates likely to be in direct contact with the merchant? Is this a step worth taking?
5. A clean account. Would you recommend a completely clean facebook account? Is it possible to make substantial profit running completely legitimate ads on facebook? This would be my long-term ambition. I have asked aff managers many times for legit offers but their enthusiasm always tends to be for the rebills.
6. How do you find completely legit offers which are definitely converting? I know that I cannot improve certain skills without results and I can't get measurable results without offers which are converting. Are there particular legit niches which an affiliate with good copy can always profit from?
I understand this is a marathon post so if you have stuck with it, thank you very much!
