Facebook paid me 3,970€!? and a unusual payment activity message
Just logged into my paypal account and noticed Facebook refunded 3,970€ which surprised the shit out of me. I got the "Advert Manager Error"suspicious payment activity message on facebook.
Only reason I can think of why this happened is earlier on today Facebook paused my ads account because Facebook couldn't take the money off Paypal. Normally its automatic, Paypal blocked the transaction for some security reason. So I transfered money to Payapal and got FB activated again. Then later on the day I logged into FB with a different IP adress (hotel). Got the suspicious login activity message so had to reset my password etc. Once logged in the "Advert Manager Error" poped up, so contacted them, answered few questions.
Then when I got home, checked my Paypal account and saw they refunded money. Not so sure what to think of this. Just sit it out and wait till they contact me? Or take the money, and likely a ban. With that money buy another FB account.
Could it be that 3,970€ is what I have spent with FB over the past 3 months? Haven't kept track.
Is this some glitch lol?
Or cause they think my account got so called compromised and felt sorry for me so refunded it all?
Any one else familiar with this, need advice

But they could just claim that money back automatically right, or I unlink my bank account from PayPal? How much new fb account cost like a 500$ or 1k?
Same thing happened to me, $7K refunded to my paypal and CC .. what the hell :/
I don't want it, but don't know how to give it back to them without drawing too much attention to my account ..
Anyway, it's not normal, and one way or the other Facebook will try to fix it and take the money back.

You could buy several FB accounts or pay the bill and likely continue with your current FB account. Thats just weird?? They would refund several thousand without notice lol wtF? Sounds like there's more to it.

I was once running Mate1 and paying FB with my Paypal. I made about 3k with Mate1 and they refused to pay me. Couple days later I see that FB refunded me the money I spent on my Mate1 campaign...
FB won't take it back. Paypal basically takes it back from FB and tells them that there was an initiated dispute.
It's all on PayPal's side. They think that your account has been going through some "unusual payment activity" and they will take back whatever they think is "unusual"
If you're getting money sent back to your billing account, it means you've just been hard banned.

If you get banned before their billing kicks in you get to keep the spend from the previous day. Never heard of them refuding people though. Their biling practices are crazy, but long may they continue.
I've seen the money refunded before as well when using paypal as a funding source but it also came with an account ban.
I also tried several times to get the account reinstated with no luck.
Man that sucks, I was just progressing and now this. So I guess I can expect a ban today or so. I get banned because I'm using PayPal instead of not following their guidelines :/

Gonna have to research best way to open second account now, maybe use my dad's cc :s
I got my Ads Manager disabled too for "suspicious payment activity" but hey... I only have my Amex card link to this account. Guess they are banning people like crazy lately?
Happened to me as well this week. I log in from 2 different locations (home and work). The Internet drop at work does terminate in a different state and I think that raised the flag on my account. I got it worked out though and provided them with detailed information. Knock on wood, but I am up and running. All my campaigns are legit and within their TOS.

What a bunch of BS, I did nothing fraudulent, besides login from a different IP and Paypal being weird once about letting FB take money off my account. Guess I get to keep the money too. Fucked up though, as I finally started to understand how to make FB profitable it all goes to shit, I dont even have a proper recording of all my campaigns.
Time to research on how I can make a new account, complete noob at this. I dont have a cc so need to get one. Either a CC or DB.
