How much traffic before your VPS starts to slow down? (4)

How much traffic before your VPS starts to slow down?

I'm just wondering how much traffic you guys tend to find will mean you need to move off a VPS and onto a dedicated server?

The reason for this is a bit unusual - it's not that I'm considering that move myself (already own a couple of servers), it's that I've been looking into upgrading a different, high-volume SEO project I own, and the latest Web server / database technology is ridiculously faster than what I'm used to.

Hence, I'm considering doing some testing on an up-to-date, 2012 tracking solution - but I could do with knowing some numbers I need to beat first. So - when do you tend to find you hit bottlenecks if you're running your campaigns through a VPS or similar?

I had a vps from beyond hosting.. any ppv traffic slowed it down a lot. I just got a rackspace cloud sites account. Doesn't slow down at all.

@ymohxd

How can you check if your Beyond Hosting VPS is slowing down?

I just reload my page and see if it takes a while. :P
