First warning message from Facebook

I Just got the following message:

Hi Mike,
Hi, We've noticed that you are currently running Facebook Ads that violate our Advertising Guidelines or Terms of Use. It is important to us that a person’s experience with Facebook ads enhances their overall experience on Facebook. Our advertising system aims to show the most highly-relevant, social ads that provide value to each user. Continuing to run and create ads that violate our policies may result in additional action being taken on your account, including possible termination. Please refer to our Advertising Guidelines for more information at: http://www.facebook.com/ad_guidelines.php Thanks for your cooperation, The Facebook Ads Team
Thanks,

The Facebook Ads Team
I was only running two ads at the time I got this. Both ads have been running for a month. They are non-compliant because didn't specify "interested in", and I didn't call out the name of the service in my creative. The offer was fine on mywot. They've been profitable so I didn't want to edit them to make them compliant.

The ads didn't get retro'ed. They just sent that email. I paused all of my ads just now. Last night I submitted a bunch of campaigns where I'll be promoting Be2. I mentioned Be2 in the creative and I'm using a landing page. The campaigns are still pending approval.

Did I get this email because I'm attempting to push Be2 or because they finally noticed my old ads, or is it a mix? Should I just cancel the Be2 ads for now and cloak them instead? Looks like me getting banned from FB is inevitable..

I think its because you didn't use "interested in" ...

Well first of all congrats on having that type of ad last for a full month. Whenever I was leaving out that targeting I was getting 300-400% ROI in almost all my targets BUT the account would last less than 24 hours. Plus it's shitty(er) quality for the advertiser.

I would delete it all. Guess what, it's not a coincidence that they sent you this message when you have ads pending. When you submitted the new ads, they reviewed, noticed the missing targeting field, reviewed the other ads (which you probably clicked "Create Similar" off, and proceeded to send you the email.

Delete it all. Don't put up anything for a week.

^^ mgrunin is right, take a break on that acct. Whether you cloak or not it doesn't matter because most likely it's not the lp/offer but the targeting that FB doesn't like

My new ads are completely different than the non-compliant ads. New offer/country/creative/targeting. I got those non-compliant ads approved when I first started with FB about a month ago. At the time I had no clue that they weren't within TOS. I've tried many times to create similar ads but they were always disapproved. With the exception of those 2 ads pretty much everything on my account has been compliant.

My ads that are pending approval are all compliant, except I'm pushing Be2.fr (orange/red on mywot). I didn't duplicate them from the old ads. These are for a new offer/new country.

I'm surprised that I got this message because as far as I know I've been doing everything by the book. Maybe seeing "join be2" in my creatives set off red flags.

How some guys get these ads past reviewers is beyond me. Last time they approved such few ads was 2-3 years back which obviously killed in terms of ROI. I do keep skipping 'interested in' parameter occasionally but now these ads never get approved.

So by not selecting interested in, ROI is much higher than having it selected? Thought would be worse.

ROI is definitely better if you don't select interested in. My guess is that the women who don't select "interested in" aren't used to seeing dating ads (like everybody else who sees 09304 dating ads every time they log on), so when they see your ad it actually stands out.

Ahh! Well that explains, makes sense why some are getting such high ctr. After reading someone's follow allong.

update:

I deleted my non-compliant ads but I kept my ads pending approval. My ads were approved.

I'm surprised my ads were approved because my landing page has a huge be2 logo at the top, and my creatives say "join be2" at the end. Very transparent...
Be2 has a bad score on mywot. I'm willing to bet that I'll get another email from Facebook in 2 months saying that my account is banned for running non-compliant ads, even though they just approved my ads. I can't worry about this stuff anymore. I guess that's what it is to advertise on Facebook...

On PoF they actually click through from your LP to the offer to make sure you're not running non-compliant offers. I guess Facebook only checks your LP but not what comes after it? Does anybody know if facebook just doesn't care about what comes after your landing page? maybe they only care that your LP is compliant.

They will check your lander CTA and where it goes, they just often don't. If you're linking out to a red MyWoT offer and you have just been hit with a warning then you'd be silly to keep those newly approved ads running. It's no surprise your ads got approved - they haven't blacklisted Be2 - some localised pages have red scores but others don't.

Nuke your dating ads, act like the warning scared you out of running anything slightly shady and be clean for at least a week to get the heat off. Run some charity ads or spend $20 on a clean fanpage, just don't leave all those timebombs in your account.

Just deleted everything. I'll wait a week before submitting new dating ads. Thanks for all the feedback everyone

This. Exactly what I do when I get that message.

I deleted everything and let my account chill for a week. Submitted new ads on Saturday morning, now it's Sunday night and I'm still waiting for them to be approved. Yesterday I also made a fan page for "Hurricane Sandy Relief" and put a link to where you can make a donation to the American Red Cross.

I guess Facebook stops caring about you after that first warning.
Is the long wait for approvals happening because of my warning message, or because I haven't been running ads for a week so I'm lower on the queue?

Approvals are going really slow right now for me too. I have a campaign waiting that has a deadline (i.e. after x day its useless) and the clock is ticking. Been waiting near 24 hrs and my ads usually go through almost instantly, so it might not be just you.

Ads I submitted on Friday night are still pending for me...
