STM wants to give back!
I'm in the middle of setting up a charity donation page for the holidays, but I'm stuck on a charity to go with that helps kids (preferably around the holidays) that has an online webpage i can setup for donations.
Anyone want to share some insight?
Have a look a the projects on Just Giving, then you can see exactly what the money donated will achieve. Avoid giving to the larger charities, they have a lot of staff to pay so that's likely where the money will end up. From personal experience, what some of these charities get away with paying their top tier employees is outrageous... a new yacht, holidays at the end of every month, that's how some live of the back of donations, mad world.
Not really what you're after, but more in the spirit of the forum, Kiva can really help change lives.
My orphans is a good one, you can sponsor a orphan for a year for like $350. www.myorphans.us I have met with these ppl before and i have actually even met some of the orphans that are taken care of thru this program when i was overseas earlier this year.

A small contribution goes a long way. You can see whom you are sponsoring and you can actually see the difference you make
kvia is really cool, i also know paypal has a donation program that you can use to collect funds. they might have a few options of what to apply them to
