I have a Facebook Campaign Focusing On Women 35+. I have reached a stage where
1) Most of my images CTR have reached 0.04%
2) I have tried various landers (15 to 20 with different headline) but their 1 to 3 visitors that goes from Lander to offer and about 1 of them converts
3) My bids are around a $1
4) Have tried about 10 images and only 1 of them in multiple sets is getting 0.03-0.04% CTR
5) I last 3 days i have spent around $90 and made $45 back.
Now the question i have for all seniors and facebook pro's is what they would have done had they been into this situation to make this campaign work.
The offer is converting so what should be my next steps
1) Work on images to get high ctr (for women it tough and everyone knows)
2) Work on Landers (based on suggesting by finch i have tried about 20 headers but the performance hasn't changes much)
3) Do something else
4) Move on
I think most of campaigns i have given a shot reaches this stage of -30% to -50%
It a roadblock i think everyone faces until you are experienced and lucky to see profits from first click.
Suggestions and help would be much appreciated.
Thanks In Advance. You all make this forum rock.
cant recommend more unless you can post some more details like your images. different country audience behaves differently for every image, a high ctr image in US might not yield good traffic in Singapore or even UK sometimes. also what was your LP to offer ctr? 1 in 1-3(2 avg) is pretty solid cvr imo.
Here are more details
Offer is focusing on women and i have used same images in 5 countries and in this offer they give the max ctr. The stats for yesterday (IST time so stats are 30 mins back ones) are
Spent - $35
Made-$26
CTR- 0.04%
Total clicks - 41
Total Click thru's to offer - 8 (20%)
Total conversions - 5 (12% for total clicks and 62.5% for click thru's)
I hope above figures give good idea. For 2 days i worked on my headlines and this is constant).
So hope seniors in this forum rub of some experience with me. (I didnt wanted it in Finch thread because i wanted it to be clean for everyone)
Thanks again in advance.
My advice would be:
1- work on your images..
2- narrow / splittest your demo..
With the right img you can get a ctr of 0.1 at least witch means you could half the cpc and get you profitable..
It might take a lot of testing before you find that winner.. Ive had campaigns where i had to test over 100 images to get a good ctr..
You might also check your demo and narrow it down to get better data..
Test and narrow different age groups for example. A 5 year age difference usualy means this person can be in a totally different stage in his or her life and this will affect how they react to your creative and lander..
Your conversion rate looks good. And as for ctr, i tend to be happy with everything between 20 and 30% when using facebook traffic.
Basic stats look promising enough to get it profitable real quick so dont dump it yet..
Good luck!
Thanks Peterb
i will work with 1 since the demo is already a small age gap. will come back with data.
meanwhile please let suggestions flow in.
DEFINITELY work on your ctr. That is what is keeping you from profiting. .04% is extremely low and $1 bid is extremely high
Also, 41 clicks is usually not enough. I aim towards couple hundred clicks.. After couple hundred clicks I look at the ctr and go on from there
So your campaign can possibly still be profitable if you let it run for a bit on a low scale. Usually I let a new campaign run for a bit before killing it. I had a campaign recently that started at a .07 ctr.. After a week of running it low scale it started to slowly pick up and is now at a stable .28
So you need 2 things from this point:
1. Higher CTR
2. More data
Good luck!
Thanks .............
I am loading all new images in 1 campaign itself. I hope that is right approach to take rather than launching new campaign with 1 image repeated 4 times./ I think i will do it once i have some image giving good ctr
Yea you should keep up to 15 images in 1 campaign
You say you're targeting Women 35+ on a small age gap. How small is that?
As Peter said, 5 year groups is ideal.
Remember to use Facebook's Responder Demographics to isolate the best performing regions and brackets.
If you have a 0.04% CTR, you might find that you have a 0.07% demo mixed in there - hidden by a couple of 0.01% demos.
Either way, you're still going to need a CTR closer to the 0.1% mark. Images are the most likely to drag it up, so it's going to be a case of testing testing and more testing.
I would aim to benchmark a minimum CTR of 0.08%, and a minimum landing page CTR of 35%. Based on your numbers so far, if you achieve that, you will be in profit.
Get your CTR above .2 for sure. You're real close to making it work
Thanks Finch, trust and john
To control my costs i am targeting age group of 35 to 38 (require exact match). My assumption was that i need to work hard in this demo to learn and turn it around. If you think i am doing it wrong please let me know.
Landing Page seems ok, so i need to work on images Now. I am not sure about 0.2% because after about 20 images the best i see is 0.04% before traffic drops.
Nevertheless i am adding more images. The question i have here is that with every image should i launch a new campaign or put all in existing campaign (or do max 15 of mix).
I think different campaigns would work good but don't i have to start from scratch when it comes to CPC?
This has becme a sort of tedious task because if i use uploader all my ads gets rejected. So i have to load them manually. .....works for me for now.
Thanks all for pitching in...much appreciated
The offer was Be2 UK and my AM told me that they have asked me to PAUSE
all effort gone waste.
no, not gone to waste.... You learned something from this campaign and you are now more experienced..
Also, look for a different offer. Maybe you can find an offer that will convert even better.....
Just rotate in a different offer.. Don't let this slow you down
What wrong only sending female leads ?
Yes trust, definitely their is expereince associated with it. also i know now my demo responds and all i need is some converting offer. The problem is that except Be2 others offers either not converting (like edarling- who has 30 mins form to fill) or not converting at all.
I tried cj and there the application got rejected. also they had only 2 countries their. My offer got shut in adsimilis ....... important was that my AM had warned me about be2 in much detail. still i tried thinking it is a female demo....
According to my AM Be2 is doing a lot of optimization and some algorithms they use which tell them what would work and what would not.
I revived one of US offer.....thinking of running male demo there. will keep everyone posted.
find contact email from be2 page in cj and send them an email explaining they should except you. their ca offer still paying $6, also in adsimilis be2 fb for ca pays $7, but its harder to convert.
I was almost breakeven in Be2 CA in adsimilis and there also they asked me to pause. I have been asked to pause in CA, UK and Colombia.
Mexico and brazil didnt turned out for me.
As my AM says, Be2 is cut throat with lead quality...........so i guess i need to look into other offers.
I tried to run some traffic on cupid yesterday but even with single-optin there was no conversion.
Right now i am looking at offers to find next stuff.........
thanks ironman for you comment....please keep them coming....really appreciate it
