Help! What do my landing pages suck so bad? (9)

Help! Why do my landing pages suck so bad?

OK guys, I'm giving in and asking for help. I'm starting to get a little annoyed with PPV. I've run two EWA campaigns on LeadImpact, one for auto insurance and now Just Cloud.

These are two of my LPs for Just Cloud - they're mostly the same, and the second hasn't been an improvement on the first. They've gotten lots of pops and no click-throughs, let alone conversions.

I'm targeting moms using a "don't lose your precious photos" angle on mommy blogs, parenting sites and mom forums.

So, let me have it. How do I fix my pages?

(The only thing that works about these pages is that they fit nicely in a LI pop. Feel free to jack the HTML/CSS if you're having trouble getting the right size.)

Headline doesn't talk about me or how this could benefit. No audio (maybe add an alarm sound). Pic is of mom looking away from me, turn off. Have them looking directly at me. Try split testing images. Maybe instead of a happy mom picture create one that has that pretty picture being eaten by a virus or something. Just my first thoughts.

the landers look alright visually.. i havent done much ppv but i think what you're lacking is a sense of urgency for the users. nothing on those landers really make me feel like this is something I NEED.

Try some different text on the cta button.

Jim already said about the photo. What you could try is to make it look like a polaroid, and maybe try multiple polaroids so it conveys photoS better.

Your text is a clump - I don't want to read it, I don't read it. I think your headline doesn't frame the mind correctly to read more. Also your bullet points are features, not benefits.

I would test moving that calculator away from subheadline spot to it's own little calculator somewhere. Use subheadline to continue the story that headline started.

One thing I would test is the photo angle. I don't have kids (and not even a lady) but I would imagine that the most precious images are not where mom poses with the kids but kids doing something parents want to remember.

Could be your angle, its very creative but not sure if it'd be so enticing.

Also, make your whole yellow butting a link, not just the arrow. The more space you have as a clickable option, the higher your CTR will be, your buttons are far too small.

In fact if you changed get your free account now, to underlined blue hyperlink text you'd have a big difference imo

Thank you guys for all the advice! I ran the LPs by my wife at lunch this afternoon (business meeting ) and a lot of the things you guys mentioned (urgency, better photo, too much copy, needs audio) were the first things she noticed as well. So we're going to create a bunch of versions with various combinations of these and test them all.

Also, make your whole yellow butting a link, not just the arrow.
The whole button is clickable; it's an img inside an anchor. But does the little arrow even help draw the eye to the button or could I remove it?

What about making everything clickable? All the images, and all the text (with text-decoration:none so it doesn't get underlined)? I seem to think that that could lead to people accidentally clicking through before reading the page and getting sold on it.

Test it. It's always worth testing. I've had LPs do great where the entire thing is just a clickable image, no HTML text at all. Never assume.
