Prosper202 maintenance and optimization

Is there something I should be doing to Prosper202 regularly to keep it up and snappy? I'm having an issue now where when I log in and go to my account overview screen, it never shows the data. The spinning disk just keeps spinning. So then I try and click on another tab and the page never loads and just seems to hang. I'll stop the page and try to refresh but I'll eventually get an error message that "MySQL server has gone away".

The issue seems to come and go. It will show up for a while and then magically go away.

The PHP redirects seem to all be working, so I'm thinking it's a MySQL issue. Anyone run into this before?

try to "repair the DB" you can do it through WHM. that should fix it.

Thanks, nusolutionz. Should I do any type of backing up before doing this?

No usually you don't need a backup if you just repair the DB. But its always good to have a backup..better safe than sorry :-)

Besides repairing the DB i would reach out to the support ( if you have a managed acc) and ask them if they can identify any bottlenecks that are causing the error in p202. They should tweak/optimize you mysql config to improve performance.

I use Liquid Web for my hosting and their support is pretty good. It's fast and staffed by smart people. I reached out to them about this and they responded that they wanted a login to Prosper202 so they could look at it when it hangs and compare that exact time to their logs. I'm hesitant to give out my p202 login, but I guess they're already holding my entire server in their hands. I think more of the issue is that it's sporadic. It doesn't happen all the time. Maybe I can track when it happens myself and send them the time/date and they could look at the logs.

What's the best way to backup Prosper202?

interested in this as well, i just upgraded to a vps1024.. i have to clear all click data after only a few days of traffic or else it gets unbearably slow.
