Taking Advantage of Extreme Traffic PPV Style!

I know, I've been quiet. Most of you presumed I was dead with the PM's flooding the ol' inbox, but no my hearts still beating just been flat chat with stuff we are bringing to you guys over this month

You know those extremely high traffic url's and keywords, that seem like you can't do a single thing with to make money? Well you can, plain and simple, just be creative haha!

mail.yahoo.com login.yahoo.com ymail.com

Maynzie, you CRAZY! How on earth you make these targets work?

And here it is ladies and gentlemen

I bet just seeing this lander, has made your creative juices flow like Niagara falls. Simple eh?

What I did was pop this over the yahoo users, yahoo colour scheme. The traffic on the mail targets was just me, 1 cent pops. Direct linked them to a CPS biz-opp that I was working direct with. Now don't get me wrong, the conversion rate was dismal, but surprisingly decent CTR on this lander enabled a small EPC too turn into.....

Choo Choo, did I just hear the money train?

PPV is the wild wild west, you can make anything work and you literally have ENDLESS amounts of targets!

There are 100's of stupid volume url's out there, that NO-ONE is bidding on, and if you can be creative enough you can kill it for months to come

Sorry for being quiet, back to full force now More to come, keep stackin'

Nice angle / idea, but mind sharing some numbers as well so we get a feel of the type of ROI to expect?

Hey pal, was getting $110 CPS on a biz opp and averaged 50-60 cent epc,

Lander varied from 2-4% ctr, so 30-40 cent cpc

OMG!! Superb stuff man, you are damn creative

Ya the power of really broad demographics.

Maynzie did you test the text on the button? Pretty interesting that "Tell Us Why" worked, unless the offer owner gave you a survey/application like lander to run with. Your simplicity is always awesome to see.

I thought the same thing man, I tried a couple of different of variables, but this one was the best it almost double the CTR making the camp profitable. It just made people click it a lot more, maybe they wanted to boast their awesome talents

No survey or nothing man, just ya average CPA bizopp

Great work Maynzie - would love to see the CTR's of different colour schemes to see how they compare

Not trying to whore my blog out *cough* but I wrote a post that could really come in handy with a campaign such as this that takes advantage of colouring to improve CTR..

Check part of the post here http://fitaffiliate.com/2012/03/ppv-landing-page-tips/ under the section "Unique color scheme’s to match the target URL"

I also tried a few other mail systems, like gmail, used a white lander did ok.

Hotmail on the other hand, don't go there haha Terrible, but maybe someone can make it work !

I made most of my money on TV when they first opened bidding on Yahoo.com they used to let you do that. Running bizopp of course as well. Seems much has changed. That was 4 years ago.

I was going to make a post talking about HIGH VOLUME=HIGH PROFITS.

I will just tag onto maynzie because he is a bro and cool.

One of the things I have seen in the years of doing PPV and now doing PPV for clients with larger spend budgets. Is that, short of branding campaign. There is a reason that placements/targets have the prices they do.

In the old days I used to find the cheapest traffic and try to get that to convert. You know, save a penny... spend a dollar.

It took more successful campaigns and working with larger budgets to test some of the patterns I have seen.

One of the most powerful and profitable patterns is finding offers that convert on high volume and high cost targets.

I have found this true in all traffic sources (unless branding source or certain times of the year).

It is counter-intuitive, BUT think of it this way...

"Do you really want to spend your time getting a low volume target profitable and make a few hundred dollars OR find out what is profitable on targets with millions of clicks and make thousands to tens of thousands???"

caveat: it costs more money than most are comfortable with.
Like from spending $100 on a campaign to test to $1000... Still, once found. Those offers produce much more income than 'long tails'

Another way to think of it...

"If you can find something that is profitable on target like 'google.co' or 'the' or yahoo home page. How much volume are you going to do? Do you want 10% of $100 or 10% of $10,000"

ADHD: when testing smart, do not be afraid of high volume and expensive targets/placements... they are that way for a reason... find it!"

^ this is why I love you Phoenix, that's exactly what transformed me during the time I've been on this forum.

I only tackle campaigns with the ability to spend large amounts of money, its actually easier that way, albeit you must have control of your emotions towards money because most of the time you're gonna be in the red quite a bit before it gains traction, but once it gains traction its just a question of how far you wanna take it, and that's literally it. 90% of the people actually won't do the work, its as simple as that. But I guess that's a good thing cos it makes it easier for the ones who do

11-29-2012 09:57 PM #27 booby1 (Member)

What was your total spend and what was your total profit?
I can understand you go for the massive volume but this could work even work better if you targeted other websites with the right demo ?
I have been doing ppv for some time now but never went for the massive traffic.

Im testing now this kind of landing page now, can you tell me how many clicks you got on average till you made a sale?
The targets that im using made 1 click per 100 views this seems to low.
