Hello guys,
Here is my ad image - text and targeting options.
i thought it was great!
2081 impression - 2.4 frequency cap - 0 click.
USA targeted - 41-55 age - females - english - interested in beauty products
totally targeted: 2.916.680
My bid: Between 1.10 usd
Suggested bid: 1.38 - 1.58 usd
I paused it because of bad performance.
What do you think about it ? Where is the mistaken part of it ?
You need to test more ads/campaigns, and you should segment your age group targeting more, IMO. Try 3, 4 or 4 year increments for age groups. Mainly you just need to upload a lot more ads to test more, though.
What you got is very typical. They threw your ad some impressions to see if your bid * your CTR = a competitive eCPM for them. Unfortunately your single ad got zero clicks in 2,000 impressions, and therefore a $0.00 eCPM for FB. They will likely never test your ad again... or if they do it will be at such low volume that it doesn't matter.
It's important to keep in mind that their system is not fair, each ad you upload will not get a fair shot at "making it"... so you need to upload multiple ads per image, headline, targeting, etc to get a decent idea of the potential of your campaign.
bro... are you cloaking with this? Not to be a bummer, but you will be banned so fast before you manage to optimize anything...
Skincare to older women on FB... They have probably been exposed to more ads like that then any other type of ad - your ads going to need something much more interesting an engaging than "new anti-wrinkle product, wow use it now!"
Always dangerous to run skincare offers, whether they are CPA or CPS!
It puts you in the firing line based on the negative user experience that is associated to many of these ads. I'd wedge that shiz between campaigns for Oxfam and Sandy Relief!
You definitely need to test a bunch of ads, as the others have said. Try 5 or 6 different images, 2 different headlines. Smaller age groups.
There are ways to draw insane CTRs by using eye-popping imagery (the kind that makes users go "WTF?"), but this is one of those niches where the further you push the envelope, the more likely you are to cross the line and get shut down by FB.
