Adwords - Couple of questions

Hi all,

Over the past week or so I've been trying to crack the Adwords nut! I seem to have most of it down & it's going pretty well. I've read most threads on here while trying to build a picture of how I should run Adwords effectively.

At the moment I'm tracking placements with text on the Display network as to find out where to place my display ads in the future. All is going well but I can't seem to break past a $1000 a day spend! It always lands between 600-1000. I've tried creating more camps & increasing budgets but nothing seems to effect it. I'm currently position 1 ---> 2.5 on all 30 of my ads but I don't really have any room to increase the bids.

Anyone? I've heard that at first you can only spend a max of 1kish on Adwords & after a few weeks they allow you to spend more.

get another new account? you will need a new domain, new card, new link, etc but it's worth it

@river - you're right. there is a spend limit until the account get "whitelisted".. but it's working the same way as facebook, hit the limit a few times with successfully charges and you're done. my own experiences.

is it a new account..? are you running nasty shit? cloaking...?

Ok so the opposite has happened! As of 4pm yesterday all traffic has stopped! My account is still active, has funds, no e-mails but all my campaigns have stopped spending? It's a fresh day & they still haven't spent again? 2 of the ads have had around 5 impressions, all the ads are approved and I'm stuck for ideas!

I'm going to call support this morning and see what going down & I'll report back!

if you do call them, you may want to avoid going into too much depth on what you are advertising if you are running affiliate offers

Aye, I called & they said it's under manual review no need to panic - 4 days now!

google has no issues with affiliates, if they did why would they have their own aff network? google has issues with pages and content (or lack there of)......

In regards to reviews....90% of the time the issue is their TOS.....have you taken the time to read thru all of them?

Google is actually cool to deal with....their rules may be downright annoying.....but they will take efforts to help you get compliant, performance, etc...its much unlike FB in that way....

Thanks for the response Polar! Yep, it's the first thing I did. The account is content rich, has a real high legit social prescence and covers all the t&c. It was denied at first then a rep called me, said it looks good etc and unlocked my account and we ran the camps. Ill give it till Monday and see what happens.
