So my friend gave me his 7Search account loaded with $150 because he didn't want to use it (he got a bunch of free credit for some deal he did) so I thought this would be the perfect chance to test out the platform.
I did start to promote a Visa Gift Card email submit from Peerfly but I had 44 clicks and no conversions (no big deal the 44 clicks only cost $2.10).
Can anyone provide some tips on how to start making some money with 7Search of what type of campaigns are the best to promote?
My first tip is to change Aff. Network.
I never had decent CR using Peerfly
@darlo: I find Peerfly to be quite good! I also like their Firefox Plugin!
yes it's quite good, but every time i tried same kind of offer elsewhere i got a better CR
@dario: I take it this is Direct Linking?
On the other platforms were they seeing the exact same Offer Page or a different one?
It could come down to the Offer Pages were just more appealing on the other Platforms.
If you are soley directlinking with the default angle (i.e - win a visa gc!)
then i suggest you come up with another angle to pair with that offer.
I agree with @bizkiller, having your own twist on things works much better and is much more focused!
1 thing that is ESSENTIAL with 7 search is asking them to active the subid blocker for you.
You can get a shit load of traffic with 7search if done properly, the only issue is that you'll get a lot of traffic from sources that simply does not work (bot traffic, fraud whatever) when you start optimizing you can turn off the sources that don't back out for you - Just make sure you pass the variable ###SUBID### in your tracking links
Here's some that you should turn off without even testing;
73232
73113
71603
65285
64226
Remember, there's a thanks button below ;-)
@jonemd: :-)
Get the campaign scheduler enabled in your account as well - dayparting can be very useful, especially when you want to keep some of the overnight poor-quality traffic away.
and re
eerfly - yeah, came across the same issue. Was running submits pretty hard on there for awhile and ran a bunch of similar offers across a few networks. CRs for peerfly were terrible compared to the others. They seem extremely legit & like Luke's helpful info he puts out there. Maybe they have a scrub at the advertiser level for their network or something. Other offers with them might be great, but for submits I'd go elsewhere. Not sure how long you'll last using 7search, but addrive has their offers brokered all over the place. Had good luck w/ them but since I think they own the offers, they don't put up w/ junk traffic for long.
I too had the same experience with submits on Peerfly. After a few days the conversions just took a major nose dive.
@jonemd: I have turned off the 7Search traffic you recommended! Are they fake sites?
@jonemd: Let's see! I'll monitor how much traffic I get now I have barred them.
@pancakes: I can do this in the .htaccess file I believe?
Andy, I think you misunderstood slightly. I'm sure you can block bot traffic using .htaccess but that won't help you from a 7search point of view as you will still be paying for it.
Block it at source and save the moolah! ;-)
@jonemd: Are you saying I can tell 7Search to block bots etc?
not specifically, using the ###SUBID### variable you can track which sites are sending you the shit traffic/ bots/ whatever and shut them off from the interface.
@jonemd: Oh I see, Yes I am doing that already! Using the ###AFFID### stuff.
Interested to know how I know they are a bot from the AffID etc?
as far as I'm aware you can't. I think a lot of people refer to it as "bot traffic" as a general-ism to describe shit traffic / fake / whatever. using the affid you can filter them out
I have had succes with 7 search , with intl dating . Not big volume , best day was 50$ a day . After 2 weeks campaings start slowing down with conversions . Targeted broad keywords .Had roi up to 500%
That's good news spacedog. Perhaps you could scale that campaign to other traffic sources. POF might be a good place to start?
