Excel/ Number Templates

Does anyone have a template that they use to keep track of my P/L?

Thanks

I just manually enter my P/L into excel, no real template involved. Would be interested on seeing what others here do to keep track of it.

Not a huge fan of excel and I'm new to numbers; but does anyone

I like to do this manually at the end of everyday.

Thanks fellas.
What are you tracking with? It would be way easier to configure your tracking platform properly so you can automate all of this.

ive been using this same sheet for 4 years now, you just keep adding tabs, you can do them yearly also. just make sure you store backup copies of them in a few places also.

This isn't here anymore? Also I am really looking for something to manage numbers on an ad by ad basis. All of my P/L I do for every single ad. So some way to look at this everyday including income, expenses, CPC, EPC, ROI, # clicks, etc.

Unless you're starting out, there's actually 2 things to track:

1) Actual cash flow. This means, effective spent (from creditcards, wire etc.) when sending money to a network and incoming transfers (payments from affiliate networks).

Having a 2k spent on my CC today doesn't mean I actually spent it today on a source.

2) Actual traffic stats. For this, I'd recommend just tracking all ad networks you run on on a daily basis and all affiliate networks you send traffic to. This is actually your P/L.

Once you reach a certain level, at least for me, it's tough to track both in one sheet. Often enough I find myself sending funds to a network and starting days after the transaction was actually charged from CC / wired.

Hey, while I don't have the one mentioned, here is a link to two spreadsheets Charles made available:

http://charlesngo.com/profittemplates/

Btw, don't forget AM is not just amount spent on traffic and income from affiliate networks. There is hosting, STM membership, etc. I like to think of my income as an average from the last 90~365 days including everything (AWA ticket, etc) instead of a 1-day max (xxxx/day) and then trying to live according to that.

I use waveapps (free) and have connected all cards/bank accounts related to AM. You just have to go through it regularly to classify and verify transactions. I imagine this will be easier for accountants to deal with later as well.

Most transactions will be traffic spend and affiliate income, but as people have mentioned there are things like membership, hosting, books, events, contractor fees etc.

I've also heard good things about Xero.

I would either automate or outsource the entire numbercrunching process.

If you want to be a superaffiliate (or are one) you need to focus on where you can add the most value, and that's running & scaling your campaigns

Let the computers or beancounters handle the numbers - that's what you pay them for
