Pretty Pissed About AdWords Right Now

I just spent all night working on sales page for a product I'm testing out and I've got two huge issues with AdWords.

I keep getting this message even though i've entered that shit: http://screencast.com/t/RFUTTBhmIe

and secondly, this is what i'm seeing for the 3 KWs i entered: http://screencast.com/t/VHwoeYsECb4

I'm pissed because i entered my billing info, have $100 pending being added to my account right now. And those KWs show as .90c bids in the google keyword tool ... What The Fu**!!!!!!!!

Am I not going to get first page placement? Or is google just being retarded?

Any keyword tool or data analysis tool out there will only give you an "estimate", and sometimes the discrepancy can be as huge as 50% of what the keyword tool says... You're using those data analysis tools for the sake of a rough estimate, you still need to test it yourself if you want the "true" answer.

Furthermore, if Adwords is easy to crack then everyone will be filthy rich and there won't be any SEM specialists out there.

If you still have lots of problems with your campaigns you can always call the Adwords support number at :

http://support.google.com/adwords/bi...answer=1385067

See whether they have a local number that you can call in your country.

Hope it helps.

Also I'm no expert (yet) on adwords but I believe you have to bid high in the beginning and build up history on the ad/account which in turn will bring your cpc's down over time, just make sure you have a solid ctr and what not.

Your initial quality score is probably very low. Fix your lander if its a search campaign, make it match better. In search ctr is a factor but you will need to have a good landing page as well

The nice thing about Adwords is that the support is pretty decent in my experience. I agree with the Wyffgoal, call them up.

They have helped me in the past review pages and make it compliant and approved.

The number of rules they have added in the last years is insane.

What if you direct link to one of those long sales letter pages but have links at the top to Terms/conditions, Contact, etc...basically liking to the rest of your mini site? Is that allowable?

Adwords always wants you to provide "legitimate" and "real" value to educate or enlighten the visitors. If your landing page's purpose is to "pitch" your users without anything valuable then it's 100% a no go unless you're running some ecommerce stuff with a product + some learning pages about the product. Otherwise all you really want to do is to cloak your shit though.
