Traffic Holder and Adult offers, first attempts

I'm working with a private coach trying to bust into the world of media buying and ppv, here's what we're working on. Any feedback/advice is appreciated!

Split testing 2 offers:
CuteHookUp - $4.50 payout
JustHookUp - $5.90 payout

Testing 8 traffic sources/geo targets on Traffic Holder, starting with $5 test to each for each offer.
So $80 test to start ($40 to each offer).

Using a lander that's getting me about 50% CTR so far.

I started yesterday, so the results so far are:
CuteHookUp - 3150 clicks, 7 conversions, $31.50 revenue.
JustHookUp - 1574 clicks, 4 conversions, $23.60 revenue.

That's after spending about $50.

My initial questions, if anyone would be so kind to explain, are such:

- Is there an easy way to calculate total spend on certain campaigns on Traffic Holder?
- Why would I be getting half the amount of traffic to some of my duplicate campaigns on TH, even though they are identical orders?

Feeling good about it so far!

Why did you choose Traffic Holder versus Traffic Junky or Exoclick? In my experience you'll get better quality traffic from the latter two the TH. Just my opinion though.

4700 clicks for $50 spent seems like a good reason to give it a shot.

It was just suggested by my coach.
True, it seems obvious that the traffic is very low quality, but it's also obvious that it's very cheap, so I suppose that's just the tradeoff.
Almost seems difficult to get anything above 0.1 CPC or even 0.05 CPC.

I always test all traffic sources, so props to you for trying TH!

TrafficHolder is definitely worse quality then your mainstream adult sources like EXO/TJ but also way less competition so i think it was a good move.

To answer your question about getting less traffic from traffic holder, it's simply because the clicks are way less quality. A good % of TH traffic comes from TGP/MGP (gallery sites) rather than tube sites. These clicks are unqualified, there random, because the user thinks theyre clicking on a video but really it ends up going to your landing page. So 50% less traffic is actually quite good for the traffic quality that comes from traffic holder

Personally, i don't like traffic holder, i only use it when i have a very profitable campaign that i need to scale like crazy..

Make sure you're somehow making the creatives/landers targeted towards guys over 25+. This is a lead generation campaign, and it needs to back out for the advertiser.

Also keep a close eye on your EPC's. You can have amazing EPC's, but the advertiser will turn on the scrub-o-meter and you can waste money if you're not careful.

Brief update on this:
$120 spent and $90 made.

Decided to cut CuteHookUp offer and only run Just Hook Up because it was converting better and has better payout.

Cut all sources that didn't have any conversions.

So, hopefully it wil be profitable now.

However... I can't really understand how one scales too much with Traffic Holder.
It seems like you HAVE to be the top bidder on a source to even get above 100 hits or so per hour, and if you're 4th or below you might not get literally any traffic in some cases.
Anyone have any insight here?
Is Traffic Holder really just a cheap, heck-why-not-try-it sort of traffic source? Or is anyone having really successful campaigns here?

had some success in the past doing CPS offers on TH.... EPC was way too small for me to pursue (plus, advertise didn't like the quality from TH). but CPS offers -> niche category. generated some sales hereand there.

Few advices :

Take care about quality , JustHookUp advertiser is sensitive in my opinion . They can scrubb like crazy if quality will low , or ban You from offer . Without quality You can't build stable profit with JHU. Work with Your AM , track sales , thats most important to keep this campaign .

From what I would say is my imited experiences using them....its gonna come down to quality....and TH doesn't have it and its gonna be very tough to run anything for long...once you get past a few hundo leads my guess is you will see your epcs tank....

The advice Ngo gave above is a good one....if you can filter your traffic via a lp....thats prob your best bet

TH + JHU = affiliate marketing is dead
