Blam Ads - Clicks but no conversation

Hi all,

This is my first post - but I have been reading an awful lot on here over the last month. Unfortunately I am not yet in a position to give any advice, but would appreciate if maybe some of you could help me

I currently have a website which I have attempted to monitize with Blam Ads content locking - http://whatistrending.net

Basically its a website which posts youtube videos which are trending at the moment - traffic has grown quick quickly in a short period of time, and there have now been close to 100 click but no conversions - which I find a little strange.

Here are the stats:

5877 impressions
90 clicks

Of these

4051 were USA based
49 clicks were USA based

So the current click through rate is around 1.2%

The site is less than a month old and I have the ability to create quite a few of them (100+) which means that will be around 4900 clicks a month - of which I thought around a 2-3% conversion rate would be around the right figure (98-147 clicks) - with the average payout of around $1.30 I would expect the sites to make around $127 - $191 a month which isnt great, but the traffic is growing and the sites are cheap to make - just the domain registration.

Now this all sounds great in theory, but as stated above I am having no conversions so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Adam

need to send a lot more clicks on content locking, also have you contacted your AM to ask them for tips / advice?

I haven't contacted my AM yet - maybe that should be my next move. In your experience Keepitsimple, would this method that I am using even be worth my while if I need alot more clicks?

I don't have any experience in content locking personally, but based on my general marketing experience, I'd say that you typically need a lot more clicks than that before being able to draw conclusions on whether something has potential or not. Sorry not of more help here, I only work with paid traffic so not much experience in the content locking arena, maybe someone else with experience there can chime in

I doubt its going to work.

Why would people fill surveys to watch trending videos ? I know, I wont.

Give them something which isnt easily available and you would have better luck.
