1st step:
I need to decide who I'm targeting, what i already know is that i would target people searching for some answers to their problems or ready to spend money :
People whose home is about to be foreclosed
People about to go out of business
Students who need money to enroll in school
People who want to get rich quick
Parents with children needing legal help
Insurance agents, doctors, therapists, who have failed or fear failing their exams
Men who can't get women at all
People who have work drug tests coming up soon
Migraine/Headache relief
Back Pain relief
Toothache relief
Job hunting / career change / resume
people looking to sell their house
Debt consolidation
Online FOREX traders
Impotence
Premature Ejaculation
Divorce Consultation
Obesity/Weight loss
Criminal/civil Charges
Man breasts
Sick pets
Get your ex back or Save your Relationship
Job loss
Salespeople that hate doing cold calls
Candida/Yeast infection
Marriage Trouble
Kidney stones
Women who can not get pregnant
Women scared of husbands having affairs
Loosened Vagina
Stretch marks
Child custody
Data recovery
Trace harassing phone calls
Stop/End Divorce
Network marketers who need leads
People with bad credit who want bank accounts
People who want to get their ex back
Anyway, before building each list i would prepare some free content to give away and at least 10 emails for the autoresponder series , so basically i would like to hear your opinion about who i should start with.
BTW Is it a good idea to segment the subscribers so much in the long term ?

I would start broad. The three biggest money makers are 1. Money Making, 2. Dating, 3. Health / Fitness. I would build a broad list first and then segment if I needed to after the list was a bit profitable.
dario, im not into emails but im definitely impressed by the way you elaborated your question, good work mate!!
I agree with Jim that those are the three big verticals to start. However, the competition is strong as well. If I were you, I would start small, target niches with less volume but more wealthy people - that willing to spend for the product/service. Quality > quantity.
However, you can go for quantity as well. Target broad and compete with others but you have to make sure what you offer is somewhat different from others because I believe a lot of people (that are in the broad verticals) have been emailed by at least 1 marketer before.
Is GetResponse a good idea to start building both SOI & DOI lists ? are they are a lot more email marketing friendly than Aweber ?
i only ever used aweber. best shit. i built a list on gays 2 years back. made some good cash. go get em bro!
What I would look at in picking from your list is something with a lot of pain/embarrassment and that a solution is not easy to find offline. Also something they would be reluctant or shy to talk to people about in real life.
So maybe ...
Men who can't get women at all
Man breasts
Women scared of husbands having affairs
Candida/Yeast infection
Hi Dario,
This is a classic http://desperatebuyersonly.com/
If you're running traffic with LI it's hard/expensive to get DOI therefore constant contact might a good alternative (you can't do SOI with aweber/mailchimp)
