So after taking a short break I am feeling better and a bit stable. I have been launching a lot of small campaigns on facebook...it seems to keep my mind off stupid things and I am feeling happier.
I have been testing all the Be2 and eDarling campaigns for those obscure countries. Can't get eDarling to convert much, so have decided to stick with Be2.
First, the profitable campaigns:
1. South American Country, Demo - 212,000. Been running for 2.5 days. Direct linking.

Revenue: $169.40
Any suggestions for this? Should I increase my budget and ask my AM to lift the daily cap?
2. European Country, Demo - 42,940, direct linking.

Revenue: $164.15
3. UK Mature Dating, Demo - 475,000. Made a simple landing page.

LP CTR - ~65%
CVR - ~8%
Revenue - $92.79
---------------------------------
For Be2 MX, I had an EPC of $.05 but I wasn't able to lower the CPC below $.04 so had to shut it down.
Be2 IT and Be2 BE were at breakeven. Couldnt lower the CPC any further. I might try them again with a landing page.
Be2 CH was at negative ROI all along.
eDarling TR showed some potential but EPC was $.02 and my CPC couldn't go lower than $.04. And even after just 70 clicks I could see that the CPC wouldn't lower any further.

So I tried CPM for same ad and this is what I got :/

With CPM, it was at breakeven.
And it has been the same every time I have tried CPM bidding. The same ads that were getting a 0.2%+ CTR on CPC went down to 0.05-0.07% CTR on CPM. I don't know why it is happening or what to make out of it.
---------------------------------------------------
I did a small test for US market. Demo - 18 to 35yr old males. Offer - Girls date for free.
I was bidding $0.37 but didn't get any traffic. So I upped it to $0.52. For the initial $50 test, I got:
CPC - $0.31
CTR - 0.15%
LP CTR - 85%
CVR - 20%
This resulted in an ROI of about 65% which is quite ok for me. So I increased the budget to $500 and went to sleep.
When I got up, the budget had been depleted completely. (It is a 10mil demographic)
CPC - $0.34
CTR - 0.096%
LP CTR - 75%
CVR - 7%
So it ended up being negative 50% ROI :/
Lesson - I should have atleast created separate campaigns for different age groups. Coz now I have no data to work with.
-------------------------------------------
Some questions:
1. Why does my CTR get 1/3rd when I bid CPM for the exact same ad? It has happened multiple times...I am not even testing CPM any longer.
2. Why did my CVR go down from 20% to 7% when I increased my budget? Is there anything I can do to avoid it?
--------------------------------------------
Well, that's all for now. Gonna keep creating new campaigns for all the different countries Be2 has. Will test some more images as well.
Great post! Looks good so far, i have been promoting Parship for NL, BE and just manage to breakeven. I joined STM a week ago so im new to this. My next step I need to apply to international networks. For how long have been doing this? Will follow you
Ouch just realised its -50 roi :0 gues it must of been the age group?
I've been doing this for a couple of months...but not profitable yet :/
whatever little profit I make, I lose it on testing other stuff lol
Yes that's a negative 50% ROI
(I have edited the post to make it clear). On small budget it did well, but the conversion ratio really dropped when I sent more traffic. This was my first US campaign, btw.
Also, I think it is not a good idea to target a general demographic of millions of people. It kinda works for other countries but not for USA, I guess. I'll try some angles this time. After all, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results = insanity
try to get your cap lifted on the be2 offers. Ask them to checkk with the advertiser about your quality
1. Why does my CTR get 1/3rd when I bid CPM for the exact same ad? It has happened multiple times...I am not even testing CPM any longer.
CPC is the performance bid type on FB, they have outright said they give higher priority to CPC ads. Not so sure what the deal is now with oCPM flying around, but when you switch to CPM bid you're paying for your advert to be blasted everywhere, in all shitty locations, and generally lower in the delivery queue. It's probably right to say a CPM ad on FB has never had a CTR as high as the equivalent CPC ad. Facebook also now has a shit tonne of useless placements that fuck your CTRs. Sometimes CPM can be more profitable though, since if something sticks alright you can get lower CPCs and hope CVR doesn't drop too much.
2. Why did my CVR go down from 20% to 7% when I increased my budget? Is there anything I can do to avoid it?
FYI if you're going to increase budget, do it at the very beginning of your advertising day. I mean between 00:00 and 01:00 AM. If you do it anywhere else FB ramps up your delivery to be on par with your budget. This means throwing your ad into all the crappy placements where people don't click. For some reason CVR always seems to be lower as well, don't know why. You'd think a person in your demographic wouldn't change too much based on placement. Maybe it's a big conspiracy with bots that FB masterminds. I could go on all day about how much FB has ruined their performance metrics but to summarise, don't expect a higher budget to maintain the same CTRs/CPCs/backend CVR/ROI, especially if you up it so drastically. Lately I get my best ad CTRs dropping to 30-70% of what they were just from a $5 to $20 budget change. Scumbag Facebook!
In the future I would recommend small increments. I.e. if you're scaling from $50 to 500, change budget to $100 just after midnight, let it run for a day, up to $200 the next etc. Make sure the budget increase doesn't rape your metrics and kill CTRs/CPCs. You'll also get more click history on the ads which will make them less likely to suddenly shoot up in CPC if their CTR drops a bit.
I have asked for a quality check for the Be2 leads.
Zeno, that is some really good advice. That US campaign might have worked if I didn't increase the budget so much in the middle of the day. I'll set it up again and gradually increase the budget. Hopefully it will work this way.
I copied the UK campaign over to CA and AU. AU has been sitting for a while without much activity because of the time there. CA looks like this:

LP CTR - 85%
CVR - 12%
Revenue - $29.03
I have paused the ad because the CTR sucks. Testing some more images. I am having a hard time finding decent images for 40+ females. Even a 0.1% CTR seems difficult to achieve. For this campaign, I don't think I need to modify the LP in any way. Just need to find a good image that I can get a CPC of around $0.20 with, and I'll get 100% ROI.
Going to launch Be2 campaigns for scandinavian countries tomorrow. I have a feeling that those countries are already saturated but no harm in trying, right
I wonder how you go direct with be2? The requirements, etc?
So my UK advert got disapproved after spending $150. Can think of two reasons - 1. I didn't mention the name of the service in the ad copy (but previously I have had ads run for over a month without mentioning it) or 2. my landing page does not have any privacy policy, contact details, etc..
I had a CPC of $0.24 for it. I made the necessary changes and created the ad again but now it has a CPC of $.34
So it has gone from 100% ROI to just 36%
Would it be a good idea to keep deleting the ad and creating it again? Because each time it ends up on a different CPC.
The CA campaign I mentioned in my earlier post is doing really well even with a 0.074% CTR.
Spent: $28.67 (100 clicks)
LP CTR: 85%
CVR: 12%
Revenue: $87
So I am going to let it run...why fix something that isn't broken, right
I am testing new images just to see if I can get a lower CPC. Then this campaign would be awesome.
I have also launched a CA campaign for males. Not enough data for it yet. I'll be creating ads for Be2 SE, NO & NL tonight.
ps. if i exclude the US dating debacle, the totals look like this for the past 4 days:
Spent: $431.40
Revenue: $886.66
be2 is solid on fb we have alot of guys that are having success with that offer keep testing
@wannabe
Great follow along bro!
I also do be2 offers on FB ads... and until now denmark, uk and aus still convert well direct linking....
Can I ask you about be2 international offers.... can you give me tips how to translate those language, do you use onehourtranslation or made it on your own
I have difficult time to make be2 international ads approved, still trying btw
update:
I try edarling tk using tracking202 and first I use url goes into dating general tips... got it approved, but below title there's url written on ads... change it to edarling offer URL. I notice when I try preview link got this message
The link you are trying to visit has been reported as abusive by Facebook users. To learn more about staying safe on the internet, visit Facebook's Security Page. Please also read the Wikipedia articles on malware and phishing.
and I only manage to get ctr 0,1% and breakeven
OK...I lost my FB account so I can share some NL tactics :-)
The NL is all about the LP...I tried a LOT and the '5 rules' LP without any pics did great!
I didn't use a CTA button, but I let them put in their email adres and then redirect them to Be2.
I send them a short welcome message with (again) a link to the offer.
A few days later I sent them to C-date for some adult dating.
This works great in NL...In Belgium it didn't workout that great
p.s.
If anyone needs some english > dutch translation, just let me know
@patje72
Do you still try on FB ads bro?
5 rules LP? what thats mean.... do you building email list?
My result not good with be2 NL hehe
till then i should have the landing page i am using for UK & CA translated. will try that as well.

Well I didn't invest a lot. The payout was over $7 so it's easy for the campaign to be profitable. Indeed Belgium converts better and with a simple LP even more easy. But Belgium is a small country and only half of them speak Dutch
I don't like Parship, I did promote them on my seo site, but never trusted their CPS tracking.
The number of leads. My experience is that you cannot run the campaign very long...Maybe 10 days, and then you have to pause them...A few weeks later you can
unpause them again.
Then I got a PM about what kind of pics I used, because it's difficult to get a good CTR. Yes it is...you have to try a LOT of pics. But watch out...max. 3 pics in one campaign. Offcourse you can have more then one campaign. Oh...forget about the high CTR pics you are using in the US...They don't work in the Netherlands.
About the '5 rules' LP. I have to admit it was a few months ago. And yes...Also the Dutch watch porn, so maybe we have enough of the rules.
And yes...The campaign would have been profitable without the email list. But want hear something funny...the ctr and CR of the lp was better when the visitors had to fill in their email adres...instead of only click 'start here'.
No man...the reason I only put 3 ads in one campaign is that (in small demos) FB gives all the impressions to one (or if you are lucky two) ads.
The reason I am banned is still unclear to me...Att the time of the ban I did not run any ads for three weeks. Yes I did switch my lp's sometimes, but there's nothing wrong with that.
A new FB account? Maybe in the future. I prefer to work with PoF...They want affiliates to make money, they reply on you questions...most of the time within 5 minutes.
And if you follow the guidelines you don't have to prey or bribe people to get your ads approved.
so i got optimized off the Be2 offers i mentioned in the first post. but the other ones are doing good. they don't have a problem with the other campaigns.
i can't think of any reason they wanted me off the offer except for i was sending only male leads. so now i set up campaigns for both males and females for the other offers. still having a tough time getting good CTR for male pics.
i didn't even get time to setup female campaigns...just 4 days of male leads and they asked me to stop...i didn't mention 'free' in the ad body...the ads translated in english would say "want a girlfriend? sign up to Be2 and meet the woman of your dreams tonight"
maybe "tonight" did me in
today's stats:
spent: $155
revenue: $530

Good Job!!
Nice one!
With optimized you mean they stopped some of the campaign but can still keep on promoting Be2?
My goal is what you have reached today, looks awesome! Is it based on Be2 and European or mixed countries?
Going to switch over with Be2 tommorow for NL.
they asked me pause campaigns for one country and for the other they halved the payout. they were insignificant anyway. just $50 combined per day.
Yes most of the revenue is from europe. my suggestion is to use a landing page.
I am going to start Be2 tomorrow for NL as well. Good luck
Ah I see, so luckily not banned from it
Currently I am using a dutch ad network, not liking it that much as payout is slow.
For NL I have tried Parship- 7€ per lead and Relatieplanet- 4.57€. They seem to balance out with revenue.
I have a feeling Be2 will be much better, however I don't think I will make it for tommorow since still waiting for approval. And I get 5€ per lead, what do you get with your network? I am currently waiting to get into Adsimilis.
Good luck! And let us know how it went ^^
i am working with adsimilis and ewa. both are good with nice AMs.
i want to get into US market but i am scared after my past experience...but that is where the real volume is...i will try it again soon
last time i spent $500 in 2 hrs.
Hey.
As you probably understand already, I am in the Netherlands...Don't expect to much of Be2...Often there are 4 ads at the same time for BE2 only, so a LOT of singles have seen the ads. Think about my strategy I posted in this thread...Let them optin instead of only click 'Start'.
I would go for women! In The Netherlands and Belgium your are kicked from the offer very fast if you only target men
@wannabe
Hey bro... so you now using LP for all your dating offers??
you ads still approved when checked on mywot red? In my experience very hard to get ads approved when vendor site get red on mywot
Yes, I am using landing pages for all the ads right now.
Two ads with the best CTRs got retro disapproved today. I have created them again and mentioned Be2 in the copy. If they get disapproved again, then it means there is something wrong with the landing page.
I have asked for a quality check on another Be2 offer. I'll increase my budget if they are ok.
My UK campaign is not getting any clicks. I had to create the ads again since the last one got retro'd. The new ones are getting impressions but CTR is terrible. I am willing to work with that CTR but they are just sitting there getting one or two clicks an hour. Daily budget is set to $200 and I even increased the bids to $1 but still no traffic. I will wait till tomorrow then delete the whole campaign and recreate it.
So far today:
Spent: $309.46
Revenue: $681.57
how are you getting on with your progress ?

Where do you get your images normally?
Im also having the daily limit issues :S
If someone can help me out with how I can lift limits to $5k a day , I can hook them up with some free ad accounts
I haven't read this follow along till today and just submitted my first ever campaigns on Facebook 2days ago waiting for approval !
Great job mate, really motivational and proves once again that with consistent action, internet is still the great money-maker it always was, enjoy your success
Just to be sure, you're not cloaking right ?
Mehdi
This has been an amazing read. Thank you wannabe and all involved!
Sorry if this was covered wannabe, but what kind of ad copy are you using and how tame are your images? I've been submitting ads like crazy and can't get ANYTHING through, just wondering, congrats on the awesome success.
update:
recently had my first $2000 profit day

Sweet! Your main revenue is that from EU or US based? I'm still only EU targeted and have not managed to reach such great results. Keep it up!
hey buddy!
all this revenue is from EU. mostly cupid offers.
Also I heard its good to go direct with cupid, specially with your volume, tried that yet?Excellent thread. Do you cloak? Is this purely dating?
Krish
This was great! Thanks for sharing.
Really inspiring stuff wannabe. Just joined STM 20 minutes ago and after reading your 'follow along', I'm looking forward to getting into the tutorials and taking small, progressive steps.
Means a lot that you shared this. I intend to do the same over the next month!
Really inspirational follow along wannabe. I soaked in as much information as I could. One question for you however. Where you cloaking by any chance? It seems these days its really tough to get any dating offer approved without cloaking or getting shady with it.
