IQ Quiz campaign idea

Hello

I am planning to start a PPC campaign on FB trying to promote IQ Quiz offers for Arab countries (KSA, Qatar, UAE,...etc).

Why such a demographic?

  1. I think these markets are still very new to lead generation marketing tricks.
  2. CPC should be very cheap due to the lack of competition
  3. Moreover, I am from Egypt and I can speak Arabic

I will be promoting these offers via direct linking to IQ landing page, and I will be targeting these countries football players fan pages using an ad copy the same as "How smart are you? Player name has 75 IQ! Can you beat him?" and I will use a picture for the same player I mentioned on my ad copy.

So what do you think guys about this? Does it sound as a good plan to you?

Hitting those markets is a very good plan if you can speak/write in their native tongue. IQ quiz offers are generally disliked by Facebook. You will additionally need to check the offer pages against MyWoT, very likely they are all red red red = no go. Also, how do the IQ quiz offers monetise at the end? Are they an email, mobile PIN submit etc. The action the people need to take at the end is going to mean a lot with a quiz campaign on FB.

Well, I was not aware that FB doesn't like IQ offers that is might be the only draw back of this strategy, and the quiz is monetized by PIN mobile submit.

Ya FB won't like anything mobile pin submit. You'll get user complaints canning your campaign pretty quick I would imagine. Any mobile pin submit is going to be red on MyWoT as well, so no go without cloaking. Additionally, if the advertiser has any desire for only a certain carrier, avoiding other carriers, etc, you're shit out of luck as you can't target like that on FB. You could of course filter things yourself but you'd be pissing money away.

I will try this out using a secondary FB account. Aside from using FB, there is a website from which I can buy pop ups targeting those countries, do you think promoting those offers via pop ups is a good idea?

Unless you cloak you won't have any chance of passing those type of offers through the reviewers.
And regarding your angle, don't expect wonders from it. It's the first angle anyone thinks of, when trying to promote IQ quizzes. You'll need some really good images for a decent CTR.

Yes, you are certainly correct, but the market I am talking about it a bet version and had never been burned with a lot of these. But I have other angles too such as using celebrity actress, and contestants for Arabic version for Star Academy, Arabs Got Talent... etc
