For those who have their own products

I'm curious... do you use a pen name, or your real name for your products?

If you could expand as to why you do/don't use a pen name, I'd love to hear it. I'm thinking of launching a new product sometime in the next few months, and I'm not sure I want my real name associated with it (it isn't sketchy or anything, it's just a privacy thing).

I always use pen names.

When you work in the type of niches that I work in, you don't want it getting traced back to a future family dinner table.

I don't see any advantages to using your real name, only cons. Pen names are the way to go.

Pen name. It's mainly for competition purposes. Don't want people knowing what I do.

Hahaha this is my EXACT reasoning for why I currently use a pen name for the products I've got out there right now.

Looks like pen name is definitely winning out for sure! Thanks guys, that's really helpful now that I move into a niche that I don't mind having come up at the dinner table, I'm still going to hide the name.
