Cinemagraphs with banners or landing pages (5)
I am brand new to creating banners and landing pages but I've had the idea of grabbing a cinemagraph from the web to place in a banner or a landing page.
Seems like it would be a good attention grabber. What do you all think?
Yes I've tried cinemagraphs in some creatives. I love them as an art. I use some in my blog. They are very hard to design from scratch because there aren't many tutorials out there, but you can find a decent amount of cinemagraphs online.
Honestly I wouldn't bother making them from scratch because of the time it takes to make them. Definitely would be an interesting split testing them against typical animated 2-5 frame gifs.

I played with crude versions on some banners in the past....the main issue being the sizing vs quality its hard to make a good one at a small size...other than that the results vs the effort put in to make them doesn't really back out ....imo
