Media buying targeting affiliate marketers ?! (10)

Media buying targeting affiliate marketers ?!

Hey guys,

Since I launched CrazyCTR I haven't done any marketing besides posting on a few forums... word of mouth did his job pretty well.

However, I want to take it to next level. I know my target, i know their needs, all I need now is to start put my knowledge about my users out there and build some campaigns.

The only problem is that seems pretty hard to find a good ad network where I can target directly to affiliate marketers with some precise data (like level or experience or income) and keep the volume at practical levels.

I know that where aff networks buy traffic is close to what I need, however, they target especially newbies(the big guys don't get moved by ads), but newbies(so far) are not so great for me.

So, my real question here, where do you recommend to advertise CrazyCTR? Do you know a network where I can target (non-newbie)affiliate marketers and get a good volume?

Also, if you know how to get this kind of traffic, CrazyCTR has an affiliate system (it's not official yet, but we have some affiliates) on Plimus, offering 30% or more(depending on the traffic you push) per user life-time(first charge and the next ones until the user cancels the subscription)...pm for more details.

Thanks

I'd go prosper, Bevo, decent aff blogs (Finch, Mr Green :-D ), offer aggregators or anywhere else affiliate networks advertise. Signup for Whatrunswhere and look for Ewa or other active network banners. My 2cents... Good luck!

Thanks mate! I've been thinking to signup to WRW for that, I think I'm gonna give a try.

With aff blogs I think I'm gonna contact the owners directly, my main concern is volume... that's why I'm looking for a network to place the ad all over the place and get enough volume for testing the traffic, which source gives better quality and optimize on that/trying to go direct.

have you contacted affbuzz.com?

Instead of small direct buys, you could also try running on a DSP (Appnexus, MediaMath, Turn) and targeting advertising/marketing/B2B audience segments from BlueKai and Exelate. You'll eventually build an interested audience that you can aggressively retarget

I took a look at Affbuzz. They offer 3 placements for $397, $99 and $77. I haven't contacted them directly to get their estimated impression number but from my estimates the CPM costs are too high to start with un-optimized ads especially for the first placement. However, I can throw an ad for a month to see how it goes.

This is what i'm intending to do after all. I'm gonna start slow, buy few ads to see how it goes than go broader.

Maybe you could do a deal with AffBuzz where they let you place a re-targeting pixel on their site and use a DSP to market to the retargeting list.

I see marketing to online marketers all the time on LinkedIn.

Thanks guys for your advice.

I'm gonna start with Linkedin, i found an active demo for aff marketing, even if the click price is a bit high, I might be able to optimize and reduce the costs.

BTW, the Affbuzz guy doesn't have an account here?

Jason, I'll be glad to. Please add me on skype: virgil.ci
