Hi,
I've decided to use LI traffic in order to gather double optins email addresses.
I've started my first campaign with the following funnel:
Step1 = opt-in form directly embedded in the LI pop-up
Step2 = confirmation page
Step3 = thank you page
So far my CPA is $7.38 (conversion rate = 0.2%)
I got about 80 well targeted keywords/targets and 9 landing pages with really different angles. It's too early to reach a valid conclusion yet but I suspect that I need to test a new conversion funnel instead of tweaking copy and visuals if I want to divide this CPA at least two or three times.
I'd like to "pre-sell" the traffic a little bit more therefore instead of having the opt-in form in the pop-up I was thinking about forcing people to click on a call to action displayed in the pop-up which would lead them to a squeeze page with more copy and persuasion elements.
I feel a bit confused at the moment, I'm not sure about the following points:
If I use a picture for the whole pop-up I'm afraid that page load time will be too long even with a CDN
Should I reduce the size of my pop-ups? How would that be displayed within LI?
Should I think about other types of conversion funnels?
Thanks
I think you should split test at least a couple of landers, also time and dayparting could lead to totally different results.
Are you using aweber for collecting data ?
I'm split testing 9 landers at the moment, adding 1 new every day.
I use mailchimp to collect data but I'm going to switch back to aweber very soon as mailchimp sucks when it comes to autoresponders.
Regarding day parting that's a really good idea, I don't have enough data yet but I've just added it to my list, thanks for that!
your CR is 0.2% ?? I am missing something or is this suuuuuuuper low bro?
Forget about double opt-ins mate, use single only, you'll never make it work.
I know people making in the 4fig a day with those funnels and even them say they couldn't make double opt-in work!

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback, these campaigns were driving me nuts.
I usually use Mailchimp or aweber for my lists but what would you recommend for single opt-in lists? (Amazon SES or sendgrid?)
Thanks
Getresponse mate, as long as the emails are collected through their forms they're 100% ok with affiliates and deliverability is good !
