Inputting an average CPC in P202 doesn't sit well with me. Does anyone mind sharing their method for computing PPC costs/revenue?
I have this exact question..
In short, there is no way to do this, but you can export the ad spending from your ad network and earnings from p202 to excel, and do some analysis in excel, troublesome but doable.
I wrote a P202 plugin and shared on the forums that let's you upload spend data from CPV networks and updates correct CPCs in P202.
If you are a coder you can tweak it easily to fit your needs.
I use to be fussy about tracking the exact CPC but honestly you don't need to. Until P202 uses an API to connect to the network and automatically update everything, I wouldn't bother.
What I do however is make several links for a campaign at different costs and save them in a spreadsheet. If I'm working with a network that doesn't put my ads back into an approval qeue for changing the destination url, I'll just swap links out when my costs change. Otherwise I'd look at the tracker id, go into phpmyadmin and edit the cost manually, which can be as quick or quicker.
I had the same issue, and decided to ditch P202 in preference for Adcenter's tracking pixel instead.
With Adcenter's conversion data I can easily match up cost to revenue data in Excel, and do in depth
analysis.
