30 Day Newbie PPV Challenge -- SuperAffiliates Wanted! ;-)

I am new to the forum, its a really amazing place and I want to go ahead and do the 30 day challenge so I am accountable for everything I am doing.

My target is to reach 3 figure days at least by the end of the 30 days.

So I will start with today as Day 1:

Day 1:
Finished going through the 40 day STMEbook. This step by step system is exactly what I was looking for.

I already had been burnt trying to get some ppv campaigns to work with directCPV, however I have never used LeadImpact, so will use that for this follow along and possibly TrafficVance if someone can help me open an account with them.

As for offers, I have an account with Maxbounty and Peerfly. I want to start off with those, and at a later stage want to also test some Clickbank offers if I can get the CPA offers profitable sooner.

Tracking I will use Prosper202 for now, but will switch to CPVLab once I am in a bit of profit, just want to see some money coming in first, the System described in the book is very promising and I look forward to making this another success story of this forum with some help from some of the great superaffiliates here!

Right now just finishing going through the landing page generation videos, then will proceed straightaway with setting up some campaigns to cook off with leadimpact on their approval desk.

Day 1 (Continued):

Was able to finally put in another 50 minute session. Got a generic domain setup that will host all the files. Will use amazon s3 for storing the LP images. Also getting CPVLab sorted out tomorrow.

Currently considering hosting cpvlab on my existing server which is with Ovh in a French Datacentre, is this going to be an issue to do the tracking off france? Or I should get a US server sorted out? I had prosper202 run off this server without much problem in the past with DirectCPV.

wow that took a while.. setting up images is not as quick as i thought, at least when you have little experience.

anyways, here's my first lander i will test out with LI:

what do you think? With the NFL season coming up soon, should be a good campaign to go for. I am falling off now, have to finish this tomorrow.

trying to find hosting solution for cpvlab, so far figured my current french server wont work as its been not running very good recently, its down as we speak...

anyways, looking at bluehost and beyondhosting.net. beyondhisting's $49.95/m VPS package seems to be enough to deal with most requirements, and it has a managed service. what do you think? anyone has any suggestions on these?

Go with beyond hosting... i have tried everything out there.... go with beyond 1024 package. Use cpvlab as a discount code

I have a VPS and a dedicated server at beyondhosting.net and I've nothing but praise for them. well worth the investment and i think I'm right in saying they'll install CPVLab for you.

On the note of using amazon s3 for image hosting, split test it against having the images hosted on the same server.

If you're getting a VPS for CPVLab only then it would be best to use beyondhosting.net because they're pretty much ready to go as soon as you sign up and its managed for you. I'm a cheap ass and I had a VPS with extra resources so I just installed P202 on it.

thanks man, you are spot on. just signed up, their support is just amazong! I got my ticket replied and actioned within minutes. Used the newcustomer2012 discount code and got a 50% off for the balance of this month. Hopefully its not far from the cpvlab discount code :-)

Yea when I spoke to their sales guy earlier, he seemed very knowledgeable and gave detailed technical responses, not just a sales-y guy trying to close. he suggested the 1024 should be enough to keep my sites and the cpvlab if i am doing a 30 day testing period. so just merging my hostgator and french server into one. Actually saving money here and getting a better service as my server wasnt managed!

Good point about split testing the s3! noted.

Day 2:

Spent a bit of time preparing a presentation for SharkTankJV for this Mobile CPA WSO I am preparing, got serially rejected by all sharks in record time! lol, guess I need to work on my pitch!

But at least bought CPVLab and hosting ready tomorrow to start doing some badass CPA stuff going! Really looking forward to being able to work on getting my campaigns started out from tomorrow! I can only add to the above few gentlemen's recommendation about beyondhosting, I only knew one other company that provided this level of support, rackspace, and they charge an arm and a leg. For the price beyondhosting is charging on their managed service, its a bargain! They are even taking care of all migration of my existing sites from other servers.

TrafficVance
Only other development, got response from TrafficVance saying they are cool to take me on, but they want an endorsement off someone who is spending $50/day or more with them already. So anyone here can help me out here?

yay! got cpvlab setup and sorted.

Good choice on getting cpvlab, I got mine two days ago, makes life soo much easier.

09-14-2012 03:10 AM #12 nayeem (Member)

yea its sooooo much easier to use compared to prosper202

Day 3

finally got my campaign submitted with LI. took me a little while to get the hang of cpvlab. but i think i got it nailed to the tee according to mr greens 40 day pdf guide.

i was trying to setup another campaign with a squeeze page also, but couldnt configure cpvlab so it would track the landing page and the thank you page/offer page separately, it seems to either mark it as visit+subscribed, or dont mark anything at all... a bit confused on this. all you cpvlab experts out there, would be great if you can give me a hand getting this sorted out here. have a really good converting offer i want to put through LeadImpact to see how it performs.

so tomorrow i will crack on getting more campaigns setup with LeadImpact.

Also I havent made the deposit yet, will it delay the approval process for the campaigns? or they will approve it anyway and it will go live when money is there?

Day 4

Added 2 more landers and added a similar offer from maxbounty to my mix. however now not sure whether to run it in parallel until i've tested the URLs out or to run it after ive tested the first batch of 3? i am assuming the purpose of keeping the budget at $5 is to allow testing the URLs for cheap, but if i add 6 campaigns to test then the budget will go up at $10 per trial. maybe someone can enlighten?

I will prepare some other offers in different topics so i can test different urls.

Day 5

OK Got rejected the campaign for nfl from leadimpact, they did not give any details about why, who to contact etc. theres no email notifications... isnt there any way to turn some kind of notification on this thing or something?

the other campaign i setup got approved, ran 67 impressions with it, but no sales, but worst is the impressions are not even being recorded by the affiliate network... so not sure whats going on there... i am with maxbounty on this one, i thought it would show up as 'clicks' when there is an impression?

overall i am a bit gutted nothing is moving and all ive done is been waiting on things to happen...

Check your email, they send approval emails and disapproval ones with very specific reasons. I think you may be confused... 67 pops does not mean you will get many if any clicks, especially if your lander sucks and just looks like a generic ad

Hey nayeem,

My guess is your NFL campaign was rejected because they want a disclaimer for the logos ect.

I use this:

This offer page is an independent rewards program for consumers and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of the listed products or retailers. Trademarks, service marks, logos, and/or domain names (including, without limitation, the individual names of products and retailers) are the property of their respective owners.

thanks but what i dont understand is why its being registered as a visit on cpvlab but not on maxbounty... i will try doing another campaign that links directly to the offer to see if its a bug with my cpvlab setup.
i didnt get that email from leadimpact with the reason explained, so i changed to another email and lets see if they email me this time.

thanks. i will try that out.

seems i am now getting zero traffic from leadimpact... i set it up so my offer is coming straight to the offer page through prosper202 instead. the offer got approved by leadimpact about 6 hours ago, i have about 50 urls, a few of which was getting traffic quite regularly last time i tried it, but so far getting zero traffic...

09-21-2012 03:55 PM #19 nayeem (Member)

ok it just took its time getting traffic thats all... i got some traffic in the end.
so i had the following stats:
60 visits
0 conversions
direct linked to offer page
2 URLs took up most of the traffic.

So I turned those 2 URLs off and will be adding some more urls to the mix since they are very low volume. Will also add some landers with audio in the mix to see if I can get some conversion/clickthroughs.

I am guessing I can get conversion from the original 2 URLs that was giving regular traffic if I can come up with a good lander. The audio landers will be a good test to try.

Hey Nayeem,

Keep it up buddy, you'll get there.

I just started with PPV too, my first campaign
today.

How many targets do you have right now?

-David

09-23-2012 05:01 AM #21 nayeem (Member)

Hey David,

Thanks for the msg! I am running about 50 URLs now. But so far been only getting traffic from a select few. So turning them off after I get about 30 hits with zero conversion from that URL. I will turn them back on when I have a different lander to test.
