** Ripping Lander Software (11)

HI Guys

Just wondering if a Lander with video can be ripped or copied with the video. Software such as HTTrack Website Copier and others can copy and download locally sites and their content, however has anyone done this with sites that have videos?

I'd be surprised if a software could do this, there's just to many ways to embed a video. Wouldn't it just be easier to rip the video and upload it with the video file and swf player on your server?
Or if you're really bad with code, get a toolbar to rip the video, then upload it to youtube and stick the youtube embed code on the lander?

Yes, I do it all the time.

Step 1
Download Live HTTP Header for Firefox

Step 2
Open Live HTTP Header

Step 3
Click on the video to load it

Step 4
Save As the "source code" as a text file

Step 5
Most of the time, it's .mp4, .flv

Step 6
Copy the URL and download it directly

The scrapbook plug-in for Firefox can get you the page. You could try jDownloader to get the video - it's pretty good at pulling down random video streams.
