Hey guys ..
I'm looking to help my girlfriend getting started on internet and she's not ready for paid traffic even if she should start with it.
I'm looking to start her a little dropshipping business with low investement and almost no management.
Niche : watches for kids
keywords:
disney watches
cartoon watches
princess watches
twilight watches
harry potter watches
spiderman watches
anything related with kids theme.
so my question is ...
These keywords are very narrow and low on competition and could have decent traffic if they are ranked top 3 ..
I thought about hiring a small india or philipines company from elance or odesk to rank us for our keywords ..
I would like to know if you know any good seo'er or have any recommendation for the projects.
Thanks
Remove your keywords ASAP - A lot of prying eyes
I'd first teach her how to do it manually first.. If you don't want that then I'd go with oDesk and get someone with good feedback.
What I'd make is articles targetting each kw (kinda like a blog for your e-commerce site) and in the article I'd link and show images to the products related to the kw.
Get her to push traffic to the site first. Some comments on Facebook fanpages, Pinterest images etc.
In terms of SEO I agree with lifetimeimprover. If you hire someone to do all the work then what she would do? Check bank statements? ;-)
Hi
SEO is a changing game, even for low competition keywords.
Build the site and make it REAL! Don't over fill it with key phrases, Google will know!
Write GOOD quality copy.
Research other sites related but not in competition that have a good PR (Page Rank), the higher the better. If you can get backlinks from them to your site they will bring strong Link Juice with them and Google will take your site more seriously.
If you had just 2 or 3 high PR back links it will start to make a lot of difference.
What Google are trying to do is reward genuine sites. Sites that offer real content that they feel people are searching for.
It is true that every page should have relevant content to the title but the emphasis should be on good quality content.
Social is very important too. @morgi666 comment above was right. Pinterest, Facebook etc.
Create a Facebook Page for her business too.
You're not going to get ranked by a small india or philipines company, they're just going to throw any type of low quality link they can get their hands on to your website and before you know it you'll be in the gutter and starting a new project. Good luck bro, SEO's changed.
