New Campaign: Gaming Niche (17)

eMail submits scrub a lot... and I know for us the top 10 eMail submits are the only ones worth running, everything else is crap - yet other networks still carry many.

Do you think I should stop running this campaign?

It's a new gaming email submit...

what are your stats for your best ads (conversions, epc, etc)

Also with those CTR's you can get your cpc down more

What country are you running this offer from? How much is the payout of the offer? Is it an actual game? Maybe you need to find a higher CTR image or switch CPM bidding

I don't know how to setup tracker202 to link with each Facebook ad.... so I don't know those stats

Country is USA. Payout is $1.50. Yah it's an upcoming game that hasn't been released yet

Get your prosper202 up as soon as possible! this is very important! You need to trac kyour stuff to see what works. You can have one ad performing 150% ROI while the rest of your ads are losing money.... pause this campaing, get tracking set up and launch this campaign again with your tracking link! it has potentional

yea you REALLY need a tracking setup if you're dropping any real cash into this. seriously its WELL worth your time.

I would strongly recommend you to look into games download instead of game email submit. there are new offers on game out there just being added into the major networks. Living.com... Or similar. I couldn't recall it but try to check with your AM on that. Just my 2 cents. Game download often perform better tharn game submit IMHO.

Good luck!

You need get your tracking down before you do anything on facebook ads. The ads with highest CTR doesn't mean they're converting the best. I have ads with 0.16 CTR converting MUCH better than those with 0.2X CTR. The only difference between those ads is image.

Your EPC is 0.16, you need to get lower CPC by decreasing your bids (with stack's method) and it works. Once you get your CPC lower than 0.16 and your CVR remains the same (no scrubbing), then you'll be golden. Keep pushing your CPC further down!

I haven't tried promoting game submits but I'm doing games download on facebook. It's doing $400/day right now and I'm on my way to scale it to other countries. Don't be scared of running offer with lower payouts.

Yea game email submits tend to get rough and depending who has it you could be getting scrubbed.
You should try out game downloads they are more steady it seems

I don't think this campaign can be profitable anymore as the bidding price has risen dramatically as I think lots of people are promoting it on Facebook now.

These last 2 campaigns haven't been profitable for me but I have learnt a lot from them.

The tops ads were

The offer was for the Maxbounty Diablo 3 Email submit. There's also a
I also did an Uncharted 3 on a few days earlier and that was atleast converted a bit better and a bit profitable for me.

Hopefully it can help someone get an idea or something.
Anyways I spent a few hours getting my understanding of how tracking works down.

Thanks guys for the help!

I have a question, why did you target 40+?

if you had targetted 18+ you could've profitted for longer

06-05-2011 06:56 PM #14 michaelza (Member)

I tested 18 - 25 as well as 25 - 30

It just wasn't as profitable. Seems with 18 - 30 yr olds, they needed more of a shock image to catch their attention but the thing is Facebook kept disabling the ones that had an image that catches attention rather than a game image. When I did those, for the time they ran, they had quite a high CTR something like 0.298

This was the best image for these ads though, I tested various other ingame images as well as a few weird images and they didn't go quite as well

from my experience MaxBounty scrub like MAD. Email submits with them is a rocky road. You can try Peerfly - by far the best email submits of all networks. Still, it scrubs and I never had success long term with them

I always setup a "(#5) Text Ad" for each different ad copy I have, generally 2 and label them accordingly in P202 (ex: Ad1/Ad2). This way I know which ad copy is converting better. If you're just testing 1 ad copy it's much simpler to track because all you are tracking now will be just the images.

Once you get you're Text Ad set up, you'll grab your tracking link "(#7) Get Link" which should look something like this:

http://yourtrackingsite.com/tracking202/redirect/dl.php?t202id=661&t202kw="enter your ad identifier here"
*without the " "

In your case by looking at your attach camp.

ex: http://yourtrackingsite.com/tracking...id=661&t202kw=Ad C-8

So whatever is enter in the kw= of the tracking link should show up on P202 under "Keyword" when Analyzing your results or just viewing during Spy View.

Hope that helps you with your tracking and finding which ad/image is converting!

Good luck!
