Hey Guys,
Before i open a bunch of different threads with my questions about PPV i decided to open a follow along to have it more organized.
Traffic Source: Lead Impact
Tracking: CPVLab
Hosting: Rackspace CDN + Amerinoc
Budget: $2000
Day1:
Campaign 1:
Offer: GameFly
Payout: $22.00
Targeting: All kinds of game sites like PS3 / xbox game reviews, game trailers etc..
Angle 1: Pretty generic, showing a variety of the latest games on my lander and offering them for $7.95 - play as long as you want..
Angle 2: Targeting Call of Duty gamers with a pop up that looks like the latest COD Black Ops 2 (which isnt out yet) and giving them the idea they can be the first to play this game for just $7.95 instead of paying $50 or $60
All landers for the gamefly campaigns use GEO targeting and count down timers. "Free 24h delivery to GEO" "Free registration ends in: 04 : 12" ..
Campaign 2:
Offer: BestBuy $1000 Giftcard
Payout: $1.40
Targeting: Celebrity Sites
Angle: Very simple yes/no landing pages. For example do Heidi and Seal get back together? Is Jimmy Fallon gay.. you get the idea
LeadImpact declined the campaign because of an exit pop up on the landing page. All the email submits i checked have an exit pop up. How do you get those offers approved on LI?
Right now only the Gamefly campaign is running and collecting data. So far over 100 views to each lander but 0 clicks. Will update once i have more data.
For today i want to add some anti-virus campaigns. Does LI allow landers that say things like "You have a virus, perform a free system scan now" ? Are such things allowed?
You're using a landing page before you send the user to the email submit offer, correct? If so then it shouldn't matter that the email submit offer page has an exit pop as long as your first landing page doesn't have one. It would only matter if you are direct linking the email submit. In that case you either have to find a submit offer that doesn't have the pop, or use a landing page.
As for the virus campaigns, when I spy on URLs I see TONS of campaigns like that, along with credit report campaigns with bank logos and whatnot. I know LI definitely doesn't allow the fake bank notices, but I'm not sure if they would allow the virus notice angle. I have gotten plenty of creatives rejected for "deceptive advertising practices" so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't allow it. The people who are running those campaigns are probably cloaking and/or used bait and switch.
Thanks liam - i will try the good ol' bait n switch
Looks good. Subscribed
Good luck man. I've just started with LI also. Keep us updated.
What happened with this camp?
