Hey everyone, thanks for actually taking the time to read this, I'll try and cut to the point so there isn't a whole lot of reading going on.
I don't want to out anyones niches/campaigns so I'll try and be vague.
Question 1) Whats a typical CTR on your mobile landing page thats achievable?
- I tried out the international sweepstakes offers and at first I was having 20%+ CTR but within a few days it dropped to around 10%. Anyway - is 10 - 25% normal? Also, this leads me to my next question.
Question 2) Has anyone had any problems about running Push traffic and noticing their CTR dropping drastically on your landing page?
- One day I had my landing page at 25%+ the next day it fell to 15% and lower the next day until it didn't have any potential at all to be profitable.
.. I've been spying on my competition for the past few weeks and time and time again I see the same lander so obviously their lander must be converting. I created a similar lander, if not better hopefully.
I've ran traffic in the countries this guy is running and the first day I see potential where I'm at the point of breaking even or even profiting a little, but then my CTR on my lander drops like crazy and I end up running negative before I can make any decent money at all, Frustrating.
Does anyone have any advice for me? I can't figure it out. Push networks I'm running a low CPC with a decently converting ad (I assume) and on Display networks my banners are very similar to his and I'm bidding the minimum on clicks and on a CPM model also.
HELPP!! I feel as if I'm so close but something is holding me back.
1. 20% has been normally for the campaigns I've dealt with. But seriously there is no "right" CTR. It depends on, the source, the offer, the angle, the country, the demo.
2. I haven't seen drops of CTR like that. How much volume are you dealing with.
Is your server decent? Maybe your lander is slowly down after a certain amount of traffic?
Try building your campaign fresh...seems like push networks tend to send you traffic from the same people.
A new campaign (don't copy) usually helps to fix CTR for a few days
Depends on your traffic source and targeting though - if targeting is too tight then the volume is probably not there and you end up with the same people seeing your stuff every day.
Unlike web/app traffic it tends to be a much lower turnover of fresh eyeballs
