DIRECTIONS
Be at "javakade" in Amsterdam at 5:00pm (On september 30th)
Javakade is a little island area where the boat takes off from. Cab drivers will know the place ($10-$15 euro's). OR it's just a 20min walk from the downtown Amsterdam area.
If you still cannot find it, look for a hotel called "movenpick hotel". Its on the other side of the island. You'll see all the big boats from there. If you can find Movenpick hotel, your only 2min away from the boat.

NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, dam square, pretty affordable. No idea on the quality, just a cool location

I stayed at "The Flying Pig" and "The Bulldog" hostels and preferred it over a hotel, both have really popular lounges and a mix of room sizes.

Bulk discounts could be a good idea if we have tens of people. Would be good to all be in the same spot too.
Was in the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky last time for a meeting, nice place, very old Europe 
There are two 'Bulldog' cafes on the same street not far away from one another.
You can get your smokes in the second one in the basement down a narrow winding shiny stairs.
Oh, and they make the tastiest milkshake there ever

Thanks for organizing the meetup guys! Too bad I couldn't be there on Sunday but dinner yesterday was fun.
I agree with others that it may be more convenient to have a schedule for the meetup, although there should always be room for spontaneous activities. A presentation or discussion on some hot topics seem useful too.

P.S. damn philwilrgm Hayden looks hottttt!! But I can imagine people would barely recognize her with all those crazy hot chicks there.

I was thinking maybe the beerfactory http://www.bierfabriek.com/selfservicetaps/ but havnt been there yet, right next door there is a good Irish pub however I dont think they have many screens for footy. The third option and probably the best is the Irish pub by the damsquare http://oreillys.com/amsterdam/ (their description says it all xD). When were you guys thinking of doing that? Wont make it for today.
