Hey guys,
I'm starting a series of experiments on Facebook using the oCPM pricing model with a 100% emphasis on clicks. I plan to use a 100% weighting using relative pricing (with market rates) and then a few different absolute levels.
I'd like to know if anyone has already done any research on oCPM rates on FB. What are your thoughts?
My first impression is that it gives much more volume but has a LOT of variability in the eCPC throughout the day.

Interesting idea. I've been considering a test CPM campaign on a 7-10 million demo. CPC seems far superior in most cases but I believe CPM still has some non-traditional benefits on FB worth considering. Would love to see your results after. GL! If i do my CPM test i'll share the discoveries too.
Will be interested in your results! oCPM is inherently geared toward multiple event targets but the automatic bid changing could make it superior to traditional CPM. I tried this but just saw large impression volume and horrible CTRs, though the resulting eCPCs seemed quite nice and low on some ads. However lots of ads I had with decent CTR in CPC campaigns racked up many thousands of impressions without any clicks. Whatevs, gotta test it to find out I suppose.
CPC FTW!
