What is The Best Tool to Track Mobile Traffic?

Hi everyone,

I found this 2 tools:

1. http://mobafftracker.com/
2. http://www.imobitrax.com/

Which one is better? If you know other tools, please feel free to share it here.

Thanks!
Khairi

Prosper + STM add-on kicks ass hands down.

I've tried them all and I am now back to Prosper.

Forget about all the BS you read about Prosper and mobile (test it for yourself). Mobaff is GREAT because it can redirect based on carrier and its really fast but the reporting still needs fixing

Hey Deondup thanks for the honest feedback. We've changed the way reporting works, so far (keeping fingers crossed) its been without issue since the switch even running large data sets like Year-To-Date.

Yeah Mobaff used to take lots of time to load reporting data. I've since checked and it's working much faster now.

Something to consider before using imobitrax too. Probably need to wait for an update. Looks like after 30K clicks it slows down. I personally think tracking scripts should be coded using an MVC type of programming which imobitrax doesn't do.

I guess you missed this Christian http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...acker-OMFG!***.

Bes and I are both using it for our personal campaigns. What's better is it's free.

I'm a hard-core MobAff Tracker user. Here's when I'd recommend using the tracker:

1) If you're not familiar with Prosper. (I cut my teeth on CPVLab, and have still never used Prosper!)

2) If you're running multiple offers in one vertical - The tracker can pull out specified traffic and send it to another offer. For example, if the user connects over wifi, the tracker can detect that and send them to a different offer than if they connect over a cell signal. The tracker allows you to easily optimize to ensure you're getting the right traffic to the best offers.

3) If you run a lot of campaign - I'm currently running traffic to about 50 different offers, and have about 75 campaigns running across 5 traffic sources. The MobAff tracker allows me to manage that super efficiently.

My results? I started mobile in May, and hit $xx,xxx/mo profit in both June and July. (August sucked for me, but Sept is back on track.)

And, yeah, they did finally fix the reporting.

I am pretty sure it is a bug instead of a performance issue. This happens when you check the overall stats without any grouping. When it happens, the CPU usage goes to 100% and it will be busy for several minutes until timeout. However if any data grouping is chosen, the page loads fast without any problem. To work around this, I wrote a simple Chorme extension to add "&groupby1=6" to all stats links without a groupby parameter automatically. It works for me. You can also do it manually. Just remember: avoid stats links without grouping.

Damn man I'm so jealous! 5 figures /month on Mobile! Good job!

I guess the STM Mobile Tracker will be the choice for STM member. Lo and Besmir are using it themselves so this tell us that it can't go wrong. What's better... it's free!

It's GOT to be better than Excel and Pivot Tables, like I was using when I started! lol

Love it inversion! I remember my pivot table days when I first got started.

IMO there is no "the best" out there it all depends on what you're looking for. If you dont have a good grasp with hosting a hosted solution is probably better. If you need post click redirection thats another thing to consider. If you're doing a lot of landing pages 202 plugin is best.

I think maybe someone should make a comparison table?

Yeah good idea. I especially love the way mobaff does postback and how it handles tokens.
