Whats an "Exit Pop" and how do you bait and switch?

Noob Question.

Whats an Exit Pop?

When you do bait and switch, exactly what do you bait it with? What offers are usually Bait and Switch?

An exit pop is an browser alert when you try and close or navigate away from a page. Most offer landing pages have such a popup. I have included a screenshot of an example below:

TV and LI wont approve your campaign if your landing page has such an exit pop, or entry pop (pops up when loading the page).

Bait and Switch is basically a technique where you put a fake landing page in until your approved and then switch it to your propper one with the exit pop.

Now that you know what an exit pop is, it stinks when an offer has it because it makes approvals tougher. If you ever need help getting exit pop turned off on any offer, let me know!

Well, he IS the AM/network owner in this case. So it'd be pretty easy for him

Short of scouring the javascript source hoping there's a querystring flag for turning off exit pops, I've always had to ask an AM.

Or... as teh OP originally said just use bait and switch.

Another option is to build your own LP.
