PPV Beginner Questions

So i purchased a copy of CPVLab, funded my LeadImpact account and picked out some niches to attack. Kind of ready to go but i got some silly questions..

1. LeadImpact says there pops are displayed in 800x600 - all pops i have seen on this forum are smaller. Any reason to this? Whats the best size on LI? 800x600?

2. Can i use maxmind GEO IP on my landers?
2.1 Will the load time from GEO IP affect my pops? Guess i have to split test this to find out..

3. Keyword Pass-Through on LI - Do you check that box if you use CPVLab?

Hey there,

1 - I use 750x550 to be sure it works everywhere ( LI & TV )

2 - Don't see why not, I think it's using the url of the site you're popping on that's forbidden

3 - Yep split test it, but usually the improvement on ctr% outcomes the loss on load time

4 - No you don't check it, just put &keyword=%KEYWORD% in the url ( not 100% sure, i'm still confused about this every time and i have to go back and copy some of my old campaigns haha)

Mehdi answered everything but i wanted to add one more thing ,

if you added &keyword=%KEYWORD% at the end of your URL DON'T check keyword pass-throw option on LI

but if you added &keyword=KEYWORD "without the %" DO check the keyword pass-throw option on LI

both work the same i usually use &keyword=%KEYWORD% , and it work great

If you're questioning whether or not you need to check the Keyword Pass-Through box in LeadImpact, here are a couple of things to remember:

If your token is setup as &KEYWORD=KEYWORD : -With this option you MUST check the Keyword Pass-Through check box or keywords will NOT get passed through on LI's interface.

If your token is setup as &KEYWORD=%KEYWORD% : -With this one, this is all you need. You do NOT need to check the Keyword Pass-Through check box.

Idk how much experience you have with making landing pages, but when I made my first lander for PPV it ended up not showing up exactly how I thought it would. I would recommend checking how the basic framing looks with the affexpert popup viewer before you start adding all the other stuff to it.
