I am involved in the early days of a tech startup SaaS company but am not sure what to use for the website / platform.
Basically, a customer will sign up to the service to better detail/understanding of their financial data thru graphs & other charts. We will have a freemium, bronze, silver , gold type options and presume will need some membership type software. Due to the nature of the service it will have to query/pull possibly a lot of data quickly from a cloud database we are building and display this as well as probably give the user the ability to manipulate the data them selves.
My question is, will a standard membership type of software system be ok for this or will we need some custom software. If standard is ok does anyone have any suggestions
Any help much appreciated
thanks
Mike
I would integrate with one of the specialist membership platforms.
I use chargify.
zuora looks cool as well
stripe if you dont want to deal with payment processors / Mids
Thanks Tijn,
Chargify looks pretty good, Zuora as well but it looks like it focuses on the Enterprise market. Zuora didn't have their prices on the website, which makes me wary, but I found out they charge 2% of amount invoiced but he kicker is set up fees run in the thousands (from what I heard)
Did you use the standard chargify option or use their API?
Cheers
Mike
Hey mike,
You can also take a look at Recurly or Spreedly. I know it took some time for me to decide and finally I used a custom solution built by me, however I'm thinking of going back to a paid service.
Take a look at this comparison of 9 servicses http://www.practicalecommerce.com/ar...ling-Solutions
Really depends on how many users do you expect to get in early stage and how much are you going to charge.
