Carrier detection service? Quova or what do you recommend?

Hey

We are currently integrating automatic carrier detection to our tracker.

What are you guys recommending?

I have read decent things about Quova (http://www.neustar.biz/enterprise/di...ntent-packages).

Cheers
Jonas

hmmm. $15 CPM seems a bit steep for this info.

even $3 CPM if you dont need the org type data is a lot.

allot of mobile offers would not remain profitable if you had to pay an additional $3 for every 1000 clicks.

there is actually no real 100% accurate solution on the market.

and - if your network uses a different method for detecting carriers the info wont help you greatly for optimising as you could be optimising the wrong carriers.

So no solution really...sorry!

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the price seems pretty steep. We run our own offers so the price would probably be worth it.

But you are absolutely right - if the traffic networks uses a different/outdated solution we would simply be wasting money.

Yeah - if its your own offer it could back out.

I always try and push the traffic source hard first. They often have the data, but dont always show how to pass it. Like some undocumented features.

I had the same with HO on something non mobile related - took me about 2 weeks of back and forth with their developers but in the end they found there was a way of doing what I wanted to do

It just wasn't documented anywhere!
