Mobile LP Fundamentals Questions
Hi,
I see everyone discussing mobile LP but cant found answers on few fundamental questions:
- is it possible to make direct download of application from the mobile landing page? (might be different answer for the Google Play and AppStore)
- what attitude do Google Play and AppStore have if you make direct download of application from landing page?
- if there are no possibility to make direct download of app trough LP, then why people are using mobile LP?

1. I don't think it is possible.
2. People sometimes use LPs because it helps convert a user better, as opposed to sending them directly to the Google Play page or AppStore.

1. All clear
2. We are running few test campaigns on mobile (mmedia, jumptap, inmobi, airpush and others) and getting pretty bad Click To Install ratio (1-2%). If point 1. is not possible, then, for me, its kinda weird why Click -> Mobile LP - > GooglePlay/AppStore way can give better Click to Install Ratio. But lets accept this as fact. If so, what Click To Install ratio is possible using the way Click-> Mobile LP -> GooglePlay/AppStore? (using in App traffic from networks). Seems some guys are able to reach 8% Click to Install (IR) ?

You are new....
That is all. Don't know how many times I've had this conversation with people. But bottom line is often the merchant page or the google play page or whatever has crappy sales copy on it. So you put a LP in between with some really solid copy, graphics or whatever that gets the user excited about the purchase. Then they only have to go to the final page to buy/install/whatever. Basically it allows you to sell them vs. the merchant.
80% of merchants direct pages suck, this is how you overcome that.

Yeah. But we are merchant by our selves. Getting traffic for the own games. So have the possibility of luxury to try to optimize google play / appstore page. But probably will be easier to work trough landings in the middle like you are saying....

You need to do some research. There's a LOT you can do to improve your conversion rate on the app store.
There was an article a while ago but I can't find it now...things like
Images you use
Name of App
Reviews
Gamecentre ratings

Right. We are joining few top CPA networks during this week, so you will see our offers there. But sure, we want to drive some part of traffic by ourselves as welll.

As for now, we are getting 1.3% click to install ratio vs 4% which geta our main competitor whos offer is veru mature already. But it should be easy to fix just making far better appstore page for SlotoQuest
