"how do you manage to get this list? self testing or from LI? hmm?"
You just contact them (Leadimpact) and ask for a list of the most popular targets. You need to be a member of their network though, I think.
"What does it meant by top 100 target by volume?"
These targets (i.e. keywords, such as "diapers" & "iphone ringtones", and URLs, such as "amazon.com/baby-items"), are the ones that most often trigger a pop-up.

Thanks for this...I downloaded, but have a noob question, what can I do with this list? If those are top keywords, wouldn't that mean they all have high bids?

In theory, and I do not recommend it, you can start a new campaign with Leadimpact and use a couple of these high-traffic targets, to attract a lot of visitors to your landing pages and/or directly to the offers that you promote. That way you will get lots and lots of traffic. There is a problem though: if you use high-traffic targets, you will spend a lot of money, fast! You will not be able to manage your campaign. And, as always, there is no guarantee that you will get leads/conversions.
I do not think that all of them require high bids. But the volume (high number of visitors per minute) will eat up your campaign budget really quick. (I once tested "apple.com", just for fun - the whole $5 budget was gone in just a couple of minutes.)

Here are some things you can do with the list:
-You can test the traffic first by bidding lower. When you get something profitable, you know more traffic is right around the corner.
-You can spy on the targets to see what others are doing. Get new angles and ideas for your campaigns.
-You can scrape the shit out of those targets and bid on internal urls instead + bid on variations.
-You can look up related sites to the targets already on the list to find more targets with less competition.
-You can check out the international stuff going on, which has less competition
-You can contact lead impact about their other countries too. Or if you're interested a top500 list.
-You can be confident that your campaigns will always have enough traffic to make lots of money.
-You can port these targets over to other ppv traffic sources.

I copied your post and put it in a file with the spreadsheet. Now I have a tutorial.
