40 Day Guide - PPV

Just going through the 40 Day Guide. Thought the best thing to do would be to do a follow along so I can get some suggestions/tips and maybe even motivate some people.

Things I've done so far:
- Picked an email submit offer
- Created two landing pages
- Setup tracking with Prosper202 - I will be rotating the landing pages along with direct linking
- Signed up, funded and Setup campaign on LeadImpact, waiting for approval. The daily budget is $5

if you created 2 LP's + Direct Link = 3 LP's which means maybe (possibly) you should go for at least $15 daily budget.
Just my 2c

Yeah, that's what I was confused about. Is it $5 per campaign or per LP. I guess the right amount is the one that gets you enough volume to test the different LPs.

From my understanding it's $5 per campaign. It all depends on how deep you want to go with landing pages. Eventually, $5 will not be enough to collect data on whether to keep or cut certain pages.

So my keywords got disapproved.

Here is the email from LeadImpact.

Dear Mr. Handsome:

One or more of your keywords were disapproved for the reason(s) listed below.

Campaign: Campaign Name
Landing Page: Landing Page Name
- Landing page must have disclaimer information regarding affiliation with listed merchants or brands and be above the fold.
- Landing page is categorized incorrectly. Since changes of this nature cannot be made from your account, please reply back to this email if you’d like to proceed with the correct category and minimum CPV listed below.
-Sweepstakes/Giveaways-0.020

To resubmit your keywords for approval, please log into your LeadImpact account to make the necessary changes, then reply back to this email to notify us. We will review your ad and keywords again within 1 business day.

So I'm adding a disclaimer which says something along the following lines:

We are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Brand or Brand products.

I chose the Lifestyle > Other category. I guess the third reason is actually their category suggestion. That's just a guess though.

I will make the changes and resubmit.

I've also picked a second offer and am building two lp's for that. Will rotate between them and direct linking.

I have a question:
Right now i'm have a rotater page that rotates through the two LPs and the Offer page. Does LeadImpact allow offer rotating?
Right now I have it so it only goes to one particular LP and when the keywords get approved, I was going to enable the other LP and Direct Linking.

yes LI does allow offer rotating, dont worry they already (should) know that you are rotating several offers, just don't get caught doing something stupid..
you can do the bait and switch thing but at your own risk...

Hummer,
The quickest way is to resubmit with a higher bid of 0.02 and change the category to Sweepstakes. This should solve the problem and will allow you to capture some data.

I'm not rotating the offer. Just the landing pages.

So, I have two campaigns up and running. Both email submits. The first campaign ran yesterday and it had no conversions. Today the second campaign had one conversion (yay).

So, I had a total of four campaigns. Had to kill two as they were deep in the red. I've been getting about two conversions a day now on the other camps. Getting the hang of it. Now onto phase 2, optimization!

I've been testing with direct linking and LPs. Will launch another two campaigns today. Direct Linking at first and then build LPs around them.

I'm also going to try some offers with higher payouts. Will see how that goes.

be ready to test more on your budget with higher payouts. Or at least that's what I've heard. Some people have great luck with higher payouts right out of the gate so it's worth trying! Good luck man keep at it.

Yea, I'm aware of that. I'm still on the fence about testing offers with higher payouts. Wanna stay true to the guide you know.

Yeah I hear about staying true to the guide. I actually set up a campaign today targeting some higher payout stuff. The min bid on LI for the targets is bumped up to .03 just b/c it's financial stuff. Seems a little steep, but according to my AM they convert really well. So we'll see.

Had my first profitable day. Made $0.24. Woot! Woot! I suspect that this is just weekend conversions and the CR will go down come Monday. This is the only campaign I have running at the moment. Killed the other ones on Friday. I was trying to get some offers up before the weekend but didn't put them in the correct category so will have to wait 'till Monday. Hope they're open on labor day.

Hey David,

I was pretty successful with two email submits, came out in the green for those two but overall I was down. The money I lost, I'm just counting that as my educational cost as I've learned so much from it. As a newbie, each campaign you run, you pickup something new and improve on what you already know.

I started running some higher payout offers and got one to be profitable for a bit, then the conversions just stopped. Starting a few more camps come next week.
