Hello,
I've had a site running for a while (cartips.com) that I have kinda neglected. It's a great domain however and I still get regular guest post and advertising inquiries.
Any ideas on the best way to monetize this site? I was running some applications from T3 ads on there before but they didn't really perform all that well. The best that I've found is adsense and amazon which pretty much blows.
Thanks!
~E
When you run adsense, what types of ads tend to show up?
Why not create some small funnels towards car insurance quotes, how to buy a car (credit score offers), etc?
I'd go the route of putting an email optin in the sidebar, and also a jquery dialog box pop-up upon page load. Perhaps start off with the typical "Enter your email to get a free Ebook on ways to save big" and include some interesting statistics & pictures followed by highlighting several cpa offers.
Sell it to me!
I'd try making some blog posts regarding credit scores or auto insurance and recommend an affiliate offer in your post. Should work if you make it seem like a natural recommendation and might convert better than if it was just an ad.
Bro. make a deal with your local car dealer / car servicing and start selling leads to them
@vansloan
your site would be easy to monetize.
1. Add and Increase email opt in offer and build list - send email list tips and daily coupon (aff link)
2. Write 8 car tip articles/reviews a day with affiliate links
3. Make 1 YouTube video a week with aff link and Google ads monetize
4. Write one guest blog post a week with links back to site.
5. Ebok with interviews of top luxury car owners with their best car tips
Can't neglect site - must work it daily or have others work it
I use same method on my website www.sealgrinderpt and crush it daily
that is 6 figure income off 1 site in 1 year
