important thing to consider when making squeeze pages...

been doing a LOT of testing on squeeze pages lately...

one *HUGE* thing people neglect or fail to take into account with writing copy is the traffic source.

when i read people getting optin rates of 40% or higher, I tend to laugh because the numbers are either so small with no significance, or the traffic is email/jv/IM giveaways... which again, isn't "real".

If someone tells me they're doing 40% or higher from cold traffic/paid traffic and/or seo traffic... then its something I take note of.

especially when its not in IM (I don't consider IM a real niche for obvious reasons)

With one funnel, I've literally tried almost everything (currently gone thru almost 30 different pages).... yet the numbers are super low.

like 5-10% low, which sucks balls.

I've taken controls from other sources and they bombed as well.

My best guess at this point is the traffic coming into this funnel is sh!!t.

However, not one to give up, i'm going to keep testing till i find something that works with this traffic.

just a little something to think about.... WHERE you get your traffic, and their FRAME OF MIND is huge.

This is so. incredibly. true.

I know this is 500x more important for SALES PITCHES

didn't realize it was the same for optins -- I figured even if the traffic was crap it would just be a matter of them opting in the same (cause they're freebie seekers) but just crappy leads.
